We visited this restaurant/cafe as it had been recommended to us for a crab lunch.First impressions were ok, we sat inside which was a little cramped but the decor was pretty much what you’d expect for a sea side cafe.It is VERY expensive but nonetheless we ordered sandwiches, cake & coffee. In fairness the coffee and cake was ok but the crab sandwiches were a disappointment considering how expensive they were (very little crab, mostly salad to fill it out).At this point I’d have rated it 3/5 but what we witnessed whilst eating was truly appalling…a middle aged woman who we were informed was the owner literally bawled out a younger member of staff in front of customers. Her language was disgusting. We paid up, left and will not be returning.

A bit disappointed because it was closed when we visited, even Google Maps said it was open. We saw a notice on the shop window saying that it was closed for the winter and would start fishing in March. Hope they could put up that notice on their website or notify Google Maps that they were temporarily closed.

5 stars all the way. Popped in after hiking for a massive fresh crab sandwich and a dressed crab. Wow! Delicious. The lady who served me was so very nice.I really enjoyed my food.

We asked for a lobster for a picnic. We got the best lobster ever. So fresh and so sweet. Best lobster ever. Perfectly prepared. The service was extremely friendly and helpful. Top notch and a must visit!

Lovely little seafood stop after a long coastal walk. Fresh seafood caught locally and served in an uncomplicated way. Dog friendly :) Decent drinks selection and a food menu that will make it hard to choose. Lobster and crab open sandwich (£19) had a very generous amount of both on there and food value for money down to this. Lacked a little in seasoning personally but we added some of the sea salt and pepper available to our tastes. Some lovely local goods to purchase in the shop too and cakes if you aren’t full yet! (Didn’t try any) Excellent customer service, friendly and helpful. The thing I was most impressed about was on buying some mackerel pate and dressed crab to take home I was asked if I had far to travel and was I able to keep it cold/did I need a bag of ice? I’ve bought fresh seafood many times and not once have I been asked this question. Many obliviously buy fresh seafood and travel with it for hours or leave it in a warm car just not thinking about how it should be stored to keep it safe. (As a food professional this is always top of my agenda). I was really impressed. Small things make a huge difference. Would return.

Called to ensure they had seafood chowder available. Put me a portion aside to collect , luckily they did as it sold out later . This was monkfish chowder which was absolutely gorgeous full of flavour and well worth the 2 hour drive to collect . Ladies were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble . Don't miss this hidden gem in Port isaac x

Great food shop, selling fish caught by their own trawler. Had monkfish chowder, which I had for my evening meal. It was absolutely delicious! Will be back before I head home... the lobsters and crabs looked fabulous! They also do great coffees!

This is the best seafood spot in north cornwall and we've been to a few. Great service and atmosphere. The food was so delicious if we weren't full we could have kept eating. This is a must go to place.

One can’t visit Port Isaac without getting a crab sandwich. And there are no better crab sandwiches than from Fresh from the sea ! Ok £14 may seem a lot but you pay for quality ! You could get a Tesco crab sticks sandwich for £5 , but that isn’t crab. It is flavoured pollock . If you like crab then visit this little gem of a sandwich bar. It’s at the top of the hill on the main road through the village.

Lovely fresh seafood served by very friendly family. The lobster/crab were some of the best we tasted whilst in Cornwall and testament to the freshness.

What an amazing find! We wanted some fresh seafood and we found it. They have their own fishing boat and everything comes from their hauls. We had whole lobster with bread and a glass of Prosecco - AMAZING The team were just so friendly and made us feel really welcome. It’s a teeny place but they do it so well Simple menu, straight forward dishes done to perfection
