Absolutely insane dinner at Outlaw’s whilst on a break from London. The staff was so relaxed but efficient, each member made us feel so welcomed and chilled but also their knowledge of the food menu and wine was very impressive.Each dish was so delicious, I didn’t want it to end. I would like to take a vat of the mussel parfait home and spread it on bread for the rest of my life. Perfect amount of food, we certainly weren’t left hungry with the number of courses.Standard price for a 2 Michelin star, you definitely get what you pay for. Was surprised to see they don’t include service despite the service being so top notch so was very happy to add on 10% for the amazing staff.Loved to hear that Nathan himself was downstairs in the kitchen cooking our dinner which isn’t something you often get with a resterant of this level. Very happy customers !

This was our third time to a lunch at one of Nathan Outlaws restaurants, along with friends. Every time we have been we have tried completely different dishes (18 now) and we have loved them all. I’d suggest for 4 people to eat 18 dishes and not dislike one of them is an achievement !Whilst the lunches might be a little expensive, the standard of food and service is excellent and we will certainly be back again soon.

What a very special experience. Unique flavour combinations of varying species of seafood served in really imaginative ways. We were the last to leave the restaurant before its prolonged winter closure but I can really recommend this outstanding restaurant in an area where there's no shortage of celebrity chefs!

I simply cannot fault anything about our lunch at Nathan Outlaw’s New Road restaurant. The welcome was warm and friendly, the service just right with a good balance of being approachable and not stuffy, unlike some restaurants at this level. The food was flawless, interesting and it’s great to see that it’s all locally sourced. I would be happy to return any time.

What a brilliant restaurant Nathan Outlaw has here. Brilliant service from the time we walked in. So welcoming. The spectacular view over the sea is a wonderful setting for the meal to come. My wife had the Mackerel to start. Perfectly cooked with fennel, gherkin and caper salad with smoked pate. I hade the bluefin tuna fishcake with paprika mayonnaise and pickled veg. (See picture). Both incredibly delicious. For mains we had grey mullet and brill respectively. Who could have beloved that fish could be raised to such a level of taste? Fantastic. Thank you to all involved. Made a lunch time in Cornwall very special.

Visited midweek in the evening for the taster menu, v quiet with only 3 other tables occupied all evening, friendly meet and greet, no choice offered and all 6 courses (except pud) were fish, our favourites being the beautifully smooth and tasty mussel pate and the red mullet nage. We could not fault the food, all v tasty, well presented and we left comfortably full. The meal did take about 4 hours but we had a lovely evening, many thanks, we will return.

An absolutely fabulous meal cooked by Nathan Outlaw and his team. I find it impossible to fault in any way, from arrival and welcome to carefully boxed petit-fours to take away. The tasting menu was beautiful and professionally explained by staff. Throughout, I felt our custom was appreciated and that's a big deal for me. So many highlights, but I'll mention only one - turbot in peppercorn hollandaise. How can a chef create a dish that allows strong flavours such as those to permeate in their own right, and not dominate to the exclusion of others? Just delightful.
I have run out of superlatives for New Road and Fish Kitchen Ambience brilliant, staff brilliant, food mind bendingly brilliant Wines excellent also We have been visiting Nathan for at least 15 years or so and at least 4 times a year and it has blown our mind every time Do it !

We visited on recommendation, and although the food was very good, it didn’t meet our expectations. I love fish, it’s nearly always my first choice when dinning out, but by the fifth fish course I was longing for something different, maybe if there had been a proper side order of vegetables it would have been different, but although each course was perfectly cooked, and pretty on the plate it just seemed too much. As to valve for money, we felt too expensive. Would we go again? No.

We have visited a few fine dining restaurants only on special occasions only, certainly not regulars. They have the prime location, stunning views, with lovely staff who served our meals. However, based on our experience we would not return to this establishment. We had an issue with the meal following our visit. Communicated this with their Comms team who gave the appropriate advice but patronising tone to email. Sadly our experience was extremely poor, not worth the money, and will not be returning.

Going to this restaurant is not just a delicious meal, it is a wonderful experience! Nathan had recently taken delivery of a locally line caught Blue Fin Tuna, which he turned into some fantastic tartare and an amazing steak; other dishes included tasty scallops with smoked roe, and red mullet with Porthilly sauce, my favourite - what a treat! This was all accompanied by some very interesting and perfectly complimenting wines, suggested by Damian the sommelier. The service from Anna and the team was immaculate as always!
