Absolutely awful experience. Visited family staying on site to join them for a meal - party of 12. All food was pre-ordered as requested by the venue. Despite that, an hour after our booking time and arrival, we had to ask what was happening. The already disgruntled front of house chap explained there was only one trained chef on but he'd go and check. About 10 minutes later, our food started to arrive.As my daughter's food came out, she immediately found a long hair embedded in her pasta. We told the chap and he apologised and took it back to the kitchen. Shortly after, he came out and explained that no one in the kitchen had long hair and proceeded to have a long and protracted argument with me that the hair belonged to my daughter. It was a light coloured hair and my daughter is very dark.We were not unpleasant about it and were very displeased with the loud and unnecessary accusation and ensuing argument from the waiter / barman.As we waited for her meal to be re-done, every member of waiting staff that came out of the kitchen had long hair!!My daughters pasta was replaced 25 minutes later after the rest of us had finished.No offer to discount the bill because of the long wait, poor service, argumentative staff or the general mediocrity of the food.Overall, very disappointing and, suffice to say, will not be going back again.

We had a lovely meal at The Lookout Bar, relaxed atmosphere and really great friendly service from Matt. We didn't have cash to leave a tip and they don't accept tips via card, so please ensure to take cash to tip your server! The food was great, tasty, fresh and arrived quickly. Our family enjoys fine dining experiences and expect to pay more for good food, service and environment. So we were excited to come here after looking at the menu as the prices were set to what you would expect from a fine dining restaurant! When we arrived we were impressed with the environment but unfortunately that is where it all ended. Service was extremely slow even though there was only two other tables in the restaurant that were occupied! One table with 2 people and the other table with two adults and a child. We had 5 at our table. We ordered our drinks which took approximately 20 minutes to arrive and when we ordered our food that took over 30 minutes to arrive! Thankfully I asked for the starters to come out with the main course and I chose the hogs pudding scotch egg which in all fairness was nice but quite overpriced at £7.95. We also ordered the Rattler cider Glazed sausages which were basically tasteless chipolata's in a cheap apple sauce priced at £8.95! 3 of us had the seafood linguine which was described on the menu as mussels, cod and king prawns in a rich tomato sauce for £19.95. We all had 3 prawns, no cod, but the mussels were generous. The rich tomato sauce was definitely not rich! This dish for the quality in our opinion was easily over priced by at least £10! Then my wife had the chicken Caesar salad which they forgot about and we had to ask almost 10 minutes later so when it eventually cane the chicken was only just thawed which obviously was pre-cooked and then frozen and absolutely tasteless priced at £16.50 and lastly we had twin Finn jerk spiced chicken which can only be described as really not very nice priced at £17.95. We also had crispy squid and a few extra portions of chips on the side and these were just about cooked and were definitely a very cheap frozen variety! So the whole bill with the drinks was over £200 and it really wasn't worth that! When we complained at the till they gave us 10% off the bill which was a kind gesture but really I was looking for 50% for the quality! When we headed downstairs after we paid we noticed a couple of guests were ordering from a takeaway menus. As we have never been here before I asked reception if they have any menus and said anything that has got to be better than we had upstairs, even the reception staff Discreetly agreed by a nod of the head on a roll of the eyes and said no comment! It's a big shame because this restaurant totally lets down this amazing resort. Definitely asked for the takeaway menus !

Recently stayed at the resort this restaurant is on. Service was fantastic and food was great however the only thing that let this place down was the menu. The pictures advertised are very misleading, the menu itself is minimal for such a large resort this was odd, but the food we did try was lovely. - add a few more dishes and this place would be fantastic all round.

We visited in July 2023 for a bite of lunch. We weren’t welcomed to a table and first impressions were that they weren’t too busy probably about 20 people in the whole restaurant? We ordered via the online QR code and waited around 15 minutes for a drink. My parents went up to the bar to order to be told they had tan out of the scotch egg and pasty so decided to just order a portion of chips each which were £4.25 for the tiniest portion. We had already ordered a scotch egg and they didn’t say it was unavailable to us so we assumed we had got the last one as we ordered before my parents went to the bar. 40 minutes later a waiter comes and tell us it was unavailable and the ‘ticket machine had broke’ despite getting our drinks??? We cancelled the entire order and got a refund as we were so disappointed with the service we received. If it was busy we would’ve been understanding and they should’ve come round and asked if we had ordered online if the machine had broken and not left it 40 minutes to wait for it to come through. Overall it was poor and massively overpriced.

Food was really terrible. We ordered a lot of things and most of them were not up to the mark. Especially the Margherita pizza that was definitely a store bought frozen pizza and the crab linguini which had crab shells in almost every bite.Good atmosphere and service but all down the drain with bad food.

Terrible service. Waited 20 mins for drinks that never arrived. Loads of uncleared tables, sticky floor, no soap in toilets. Left and got a takeaway.

I ate here with my friends on a retreat . Such a brilliant service and the food was amazing . We came on a Friday night was quick and friendly service . 100% recommended this restaurant.Vegetarian options: Vegan options for my friends were excellent

We have eaten here several times in the past and have always had a good experience. We have recently had a meal here. Unfortunately the caesar salad lettuce leaves had grit in most of them and the ribeye steak which should have been medium rare turned up well done and hard round the edge. Yet our bill at the end clearly stated medium rare. The waitress communicated our order correctly however the chef was obviously not concentrating. The waiting staff were excellent though.

About the worst dining experience I’ve encountered for some time. It was actually difficultto find a positive. The place just isn’t in fitting with the resort. It needs a major overhaul. We ordered starters and after a while we’re presented with the starter from another table. No issue, we sorted the issue ourselves. When our starts finally arrived they were massively over cooked. Having finished about 15 mins later our mains arrived (before the empty start plates had been cleared. All good starter plates were removed. Unfortunately so was my cutlery and so I else’s left with a main but nothing to eat it with. Finally managed to get the attention of the staff and requested some cutlery. At no point we’re we asked if we wanted any sauces. Agin no problem. Managed to flag someone down again. Steak was over cooked. Was about to tuck into the salad when I noticed it was brown on the underside with mould spaws on it. Ok, fine. Let’s just get the bill and go home. 25 mins later our plates were collected and we asked for the bill. Another 20 mins and someone came over to take payment. We were due to take the family there for a meal on Thu but have cancelled. I’ve never left a negative comment before but the entire experience tonight was very poor.
