Cornish Premier Pasties Ltd
Units 4 & 5, Hurling Way St Columb Major Business Park, St Columb Major, Saint ColumbMade our first today to Cornish premier pasties and can't recommend enough!
Great friendly service, fantastic selection of lovely pasties & cakes & to top it off it's all incredibly good value.
I bought 3 pasties and a brownie and it cost under £10! I was expecting it to be nearly double that price!
We went back in & bought 12 frozen pasties to cook at home, 2 cronuts which were lovely. That lot cost us £20!! Fantastic value, we'll definitely be back

The Silver Ball
Fair St, Saint ColumbThe very last time I was in this pub, was 50 years ago. It was an enigma then and in a small way, remains just the same? Very friendly staff and locals, which in Cornwall is a rare thing.
The food portions are huge and VERY popular with the strong, local population. I didn't eat on this visit, but I'll definitely be trying their Sunday roast...it looks astonishing.
I'm not sure of the exact year, but I'm guessing 1972ish... and the village was in turmoil when a bull escaped from the local market/abattoir. I was safely ensconced in The Silver Ball, whilst the police were called to deal with the bull.
By the way...a pint of Director's real ale is an astonishing £4.20!!! Albeit the abv is now under 4.5%. And while on the subject of ales...it was a real pleasure to watch the landlord cleaning the pipes of his beers. The aforementioned Director's Ale, was absolutely pristine in taste, clarity and presentation. I wish my local pubs had someone with his skillset looking after their cellars and ales.
100% first rate. And this from an ex publican of 18 years.
Fantastic value. Highly recommended.

Sun House
52 Fore St, Saint ColumbPicked up a collection during a holiday stay in St Columb, difficult to park most days but there are two car parks in walking distance from the takeaway. Phoned ahead and was ready within 10 minutes. We had the Kung Po King Prawn and Egg Fried Rice, can't fault either: very good. Restaurant is dated and a little dilapidated, but can't fault the food.

The Coaching Inn
13 Bank St, St Columb Major, Saint ColumbFantastic food and lovely people. The value is exceptional. Columb St Major is an architecturally beautiful town, not swanky but full of charm. A couple of lovely traditional pubs there too.

The Cornish Fishmonger
Indian Queens Industrial Estate, 4a Warren Rd, Indian Queens, Saint ColumbAlways really good quality and I will definitely order again the only problem is because the food thaws on the way and most can’t be refrozen you have to order what you can eat straight away. I was diagnosed with Diverticulitis yesterday so couldn’t eat the salmon en croute and gave the Cornish pasties away. It would be great if they could use a carrier who could freeze the goods. I would pay a bit more for this and they could offer the choice of ambient or frozen.

Jays Kebab and Pizza House
2A West St, St Columb Major, Saint ColumbAway on holiday so found the nearest take away from our campsite, the family really enjoyed their kebabs burger and pizza. I had a Mexican pizza and onion rings and really enjoyed those. Food was fresh hot and tasty by the time I got back to camp which I can't say for some places. Even chucked in a free bottle of coke, it was a large order I guess. Would visit again if I'm down this way.

The Lookout Restaurant & Lounge at Retallack Resort
LMMJTMCHRIST, St Columb Major, Saint ColumbThe food was delicious. They were busy and short staffed but they didn't keep us waiting too long and did apologise. It was not a problem for us as we were on holiday and not rushing off. The food was worth waiting for. We did try to book for a second night but no tables available. We were staying in a lodge and would have liked to go again.
Parking: Free Parking on site . We were staying in a lodge
