Paid £5.50 for a gluten free sandwich and got an extremely small roll. The waitress was extremely embarrassed about serving it. Total rip off won’t be back.Dietary restrictions: If you are celiac or wheat intolerant you will get ripped off, best to avoid, which is a shame as staff really nice

I had a day out with my elderly parents and we were delighted with the meals that were served to us. I chose the quiche, my mum had scampi and chips and the men had a traditional breakfast. The meals came out really quickly and we all really enjoyed our food. My partner and I had a cake each for dessert. My caramel flapjack was very sweet (just how I like it) and my partner really enjoyed the lemon meringue pie. We look forward to visiting again.

Absolutely lovely garden centre, so much choice and well laid out. We also decided to treat ourselves to coffee and cake. It was our first time here as we were just passing through on our way home from holiday. The restaurant is very extensive and the serving staff were delightful - so friendly and smiley. We found a nice table outside but were so disappointed by our cakes. I had an almond macaroon, but it was like a hard stale sponge with almond flavour - just horrible. But hubby's cream tea was even worse - the scone was big, which was initially impressive, but was as heavy as a brick and with a texture to match. It seemed as if it was several days old and so dense, heavy and stale. We joked that we would take it home as a door stop. We left both cakes, what a waste of money!

As a couple we visit Tamar Nurseries once or twice a week. The restaurant food is always freshly cooked, served quickly and terrific value. The chips are the best I have ever tasted! We particularly like the option to have smaller sizes of several of the dishes. The staff are friendly and pleasant and attentive. Added to this, there is a delightful garden centre that is not overly commercialised.

Awful experience. Very expensive at over £8 for a jacket potato with beans and cheese. The cheese was powdery and doesn't melt. I had sausage egg chips and beans. Got half way through the pot of beans to find an old salt packet stuck to the side and the bit ripped off the top sitting at the bottom. We told 2 members of staff and they just laughed. When hygiene standards were mentioned the lady just smiled. Awful service

We went to Tamar view for a family breakfast with our well behaved dog. We have been many times and the staff are always friendly and the food is usually great. We were met by a big handwritten sign on the doors saying NO DOGS ALLOWED. We went elsewhere and will not be returning.

The meal we had yesterday in the restaurant at Tamar Nursery was excellent, fillet of bass cooked with baby tomatoes and capers. Superb and at £12.99 excellent value. In any other restaurant I would have expected to pay around £20. The restaurant also has a wide range of cakes , pastries and ice creams for desert. We had to settle for the latter as our stomachs were full

Don’t bother.Fish and chips for £11! The fish portion is tiny for that money and It is cheap Basa in my opinion. My fish wasn’t cooked all the way through so I sent it back and asked for Cod.The restaurant Manager came over and said that the “Chef” had stated that the next portion would be the same so did I want him to cook it.I got a refund.I regularly eat. Cod and chips at my local chippy which is twice the size and thickness, cost less than £10 and is Cod not cheap Carp (Basa) farmed in the most polluted river in Asia.
