Stayed at the Duke of Cornwall for 1 night. Typical pub but friendly. Very disappointed with the room me and my partner stayed in as the room smelt of damp. Every time we entered the room there was a very strong smell. I emailed Richard stating this and he said the room is to be renovated. I asked if next time we stayed there could we have a discount as we paid £65 and not even breakfast. He had not replied back stating if he would do a discount next time so I had to place this review on here. Sorry but only given yeah 1 star. Not going back there again

Poor quality of room. Shared toilet with other guests. Very noisy throughout the night.due to being on the main road.Breakfast wasn't great.

Lovely room great facilities fantastic bath , could be a little more quieter in the evenings WiFi slow quite poor . Good breakfast for a little extra money but with the cost of living what do you expect nice staff good budget price for me at this time as all others to expensive .

We chose the Duke Cornwall as we were down for a wedding and it suited us geographically. Having seen reviews and pictures on Booking.com we didn't expect much but couldn't have been more wrong! From arrival the staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful and our room was great, clean, spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was lovely too. I would definately recommend and thanks to all the staff for making us so welcome.
Had an excellent time at this room over a pub. Stayed 3nights to attend a gig but also a Cornish mini break.Staff were excellent and made to feel very welcome and had a great time because of it.Highly recommended.A little road noise which is expected due to location.

Me and my friend went to a concert at the Eden Sessions. This was close and suited our needs. We had a good welcome and the twin room we had was what we expected. We didn't stay for breakfast so can't comment on that. There was sufficient car parking. If we go to Eden Sessions again we know it's an option

Just done thier Escape Room ? first time doing an escape room and it was fecking awesome!! never been so buzzed after something in such a long time!! it was very well done and would totally recommend it!! owner was very nice and welcoming and even let me have a pint after it! even though he wasn't open for another hour!! F**king Awesome ?? well done.. definitely popping in the next time am in the area!!! ??

What a great pub! A lovely pint and a warm welcome always guaranteed here. It's cosy, traditional and just how a pub should be. The bar staff are so friendly, there is a real fire in the snug and a juke box in the main bar, so something for everyone.
