Mum, Dad and myself had lunch at Edies last Friday. After a rubbish Christmas with colds, my Auntie passing away and other stuff going on. We felt we deserved to treat ourselves at Edies. Really enjoyed it. The food was amazing and the service was fantastic. Well done guys. Your doing a great job.

The food is fairly average. Large portion sizes. Reminds me of home cooked food. The restaurant itself felt quite cold. The front of house staff are great.Booked to celebrate a special occasion which was in the note section when making the booking, unfortunately wasn’t picked up by anyone in the restaurant.

Fantastic all round - we had a table of 7 every one came away giving 5 stars and can't wait to go back.Really good size portions for high end food and great value for money. I will definitely be back.Service from start to finish was brilliant, couldn't have wished for better.

My husband, sister-in-law and brother-in-law all came here for my birthday meal, and what an absolute treat it was! The ambience and service were inviting, friendly, but never fussy; our hostess and server made us feel right at home. We were fortunate enough to have a table with a perfect view into their open plan kitchen, and it was fantastic to watch the chefs at work creating beautiful dishes. As a coeliac, it's easy to feel shortchanged when looking at the menu (same with vegetarian food for my husband), but we felt that each option sounded delicious, instead of a sad afterthought. My husband waxed poetic about his soufflé starter for days afterwards, and I felt just the same about my gorgeous chicken main dish. For the quality of food and service, everything was very fairly priced and truly excellent value for money. Michelin quality food and drink, with the vibe and price tag of your favourite friendly local establishment -- so what's not to love? We will certainly be back, and I couldn't recommend a meal here highly enough. Thank you Edie's!!

I always like to have a little flick through other reviews first...make sure I am reviewing the right place etc!! I have to address the elephant in the room - the last review as it has actually made my blood boil. We are the said locals the 'reviewer' refers to. We have dinned in every Michelin starred restaurant in Cornwall (a very cool way to spend my husband's fortieth year) and have also eaten out at some of the best places in the country. Being a local does not mean we do not have standards. Far from it. Edies is our favourite. We took our three daughters who love the food - lets just take a moment to discuss the kids fillet steak. We let the girls order it thinking my husband might get some - how disappointed was he. Not by the food but that both girls who had ordered it ate the whole thing whilst declaring it the best think they had eaten. Noticing our girls were enjoying the restaurant atmosphere the team went out of their way - and the little touches were very much appreciated - like letting the girls create their own cocktail - they are still telling anyone who cares to listen about this now. As for the adult food - the souffle is a thing of legends so we had to have that along with the Crab Crumpet. Alas, my husband was left disappointed again when I hoovered the whole thing up without realising I had not let him try it. Main - the chicken for me, stunning - the mash is my favourite thing in the whole wide world; whilst the fish for my husband was cooked to perfection. As for desserts. I own a bakery. My sweet tooth is beyond fussy and I hate good restaurants who finish on an after thought of a pudding. Edies is not one of those. The Egg custard tart was a sheer delight - whilst the sweet souffle was beyond or expectations. As for the service. We love the whole team. They have worked hard to create the right balance of 'home' and exceptional service with the buzz of the pretty cool place.
