“Could not fault the food. Its not cheap but definitely worth every penny. These kind of proper steak restaurants are far and few in between. Well done guys ?”

“Had Sunday lunch at Springtide on the recommendations of our friends who live in Cornwall.Springtide is seafood restaurant with a relatively small selection of seafood dishes. For starters my husband had the sticky pork belly skewers which he loved and rated a 9 out 10. High praise indeed!I had the prawns in butter from the specials board. The butter sauce was delicious and I asked for extra bread to mop it up and the staff were very accommodating. The prawns were a little over cooked but didn’t detract too much from the enjoyment of the dish. For mains my husband had the mackerel sandwich with a side of chips which he thoroughly enjoyed. The mackerel was very tasty and cooked perfectly.I had fish and chips for my main. The fish batter was a little greasy and tasteless. The chips were actually fries with skin on. The mushy peas were pureed and very watery. I was underwhelmed by the dish.If you are in Charlestown, Springtide is worth a visit. Great service and atmosphere.”

“Just returned from our lovely stay in Cornwall and must thank Walkers in St Austell for the best fish and chips take away. We had it on 2 occasions and they were both gorgeous. Freshly fried chips and fish and mushy peas mmm! Sorry no photo we couldn’t wait to eat them. You may even get a sing song from the chef..I’d you’re lucky! Totally recommend.”
