If you Fancy a beer, like we did mid way through a yellow weather warning.....want to try a Tribute, Korev, Cardinal Syn, Divine Intervention, Bad Habit. Big Job, Proper Job, Hicks and more, then go on their tour!We were shown round by Dave the rave who was very informative about the family orientated brewer. He was entertaining and happy to share a bottle or two or 8, discounted at the bar and gift shop a very enjoyable trip and well worth while.August return trip on the horizon ?

We booked the tour and had Barry. He made the tour with his knowledge and passion about the business. We had a fantastic tour and tasting session afterwards! Highly recommend and request Barry as he is the best ( and no we are not related !)

Decided to do some Christmas shopping at the brewery shop. The lady was most helpful and we got almost everything we wanted for Christmas. The only downside was that the Brewery no longer make the kegs which I wanted. Will have to get my Kegs from a competitor. Please St Austell Brewery can you start selling the mini kegs again. A very disappointed Cornish ale drinker

had to visit the brewery whilst we were in the area (husband loves Proper Job) did the tour with Dave, he was a fantastic host with lots of stories about the history of the Brewery, incredible knowledge about the processes and the various samples that husband got to taste. Stopped in the shop on the way out to buy various beers we've not heard of before or can't get in our local stores. Lady in shop was really helpful with packing to make sure we'd get everything home in one piece..

Hicks Bar is a great venue for food and drinks and there is a great selection of St Austell brewery beers in the visitor's shop..

Last place to visit on our week's holiday in Cornwall. Just six of us on the tour which was just right. The informative tour lasted about an hour and a half which was taken by laid back but informative Dave. The admission price included some beer tasting and a free bottle of your choice. The gift shop was well stocked with varied reasonable priced items and curios. Not forgetting all of the brewery's beer on sale too. Throughly recommended a visit even if you are not a beer lover.

If you love Ales and a bit of local history, then this is defo the place to visit. 90 min Beer tours run 11am and 2pm, but there's plenty of interesting and informative displays if you can't make it.

This is just another bar, tables sticky, food average, staff were great. We were all disappointed I expected better, if I wanted better I thought as it was the brewery's H/O it would be a cut above, it's not.

Very interesting tour of the St Austell brewery with Dave. He made it fun too, with stories and facts all about the brewery and family behind it. Got to taste lots of the drinks brewed on the premises, lots that we’ve not seen before. Would recommend if you’re going to be in the area.

This has got to be one of the best pub experiences in the Southwest. A fantastic selection of real ales and lagers served by really knowledgeable staff. Food selection is first class, fresh and tasty served in relaxing surroundings. You can arrange a really interesting brewery tour if you want as well.. Next time you are in Cornwall this is a must visit.

The tour is terrific. Fun and informative without getting too technical. Lunch afterwards was great, too. And the staff are all friendly and welcoming.
