If you are looking for a plush hotel then this is it. Friendly professional staff at reception.

We stayed here in a sea view room as a couples break. When you pull up to the hotel the exterior throws you back to a 1990s hotel. The reception area is open and busy being directly opposite the dining area. We got in to the lift and felt like we really were entering a Time Machine. Upon finding our sea view room we had to quickly check our phones to see if we had indeed travelled back to 1993.The room is small and old school. Glass topped furniture. It literally reminded me of staying at my Grandma Vera’s as a kid. (They even have that weird Matt thing inside the bath. You know the rubber non slip job)The spa is good. It’s not wow factor but it’s pleasant and clean. We went as soon as we dropped our bags off. The bar is right next to the spa and you can order drinks which they’ll bring out to you pool side. The evening meal was really nice. We both had different starters and mains and they were much better than we expected.Service overall is good. The food and service make the hotel. Also big shoutout to the piano man in the lounge area after dinner. That guy was bringing the entertainment ?

Lovely Xmas lunch with Newquay u3a and the third time I have been. Great service, lovely restaurant and good food. No doubt I will be back for a fourth time next year. I also had my wedding reception here in 1988. Really love this hotel.

Lovely spa morning. All modern and clean facilities. Sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi and swimming pool. Plenty of space and seating. We used the restaurant after and the service was great and the food was lovely and very reasonably priced.

I often pop in here for coffee and cakes on my daily coast path walk. The service is always exceptional the surrounding beautiful inside and out with wonderful well kept gardens and sea views. A little piece of unrivalled opulence in my day.

Lovely hotel. The dining area and bar is beautiful. Food is lovely. We had a sea view room. Sadly it needs updating and no air con so it was super hot. We couldn't have the windows open due to the storm and made everything creek. Fan was provided but sadly was still too warm. When we told reception , staff said not all rooms have air con as it is an old building.Beautiful spa facilities. It's a shame they didn't make it bigger so that have room for more chairs around the pool to relax. Outdoor pool was lovely and warm and great to sit around if the weather is decent.Very clean hotel and lovely touch to put flower petals in our room for our anniversary.

Fantastic stay, rooms were well presented and the facilities were excellent including spa, two restaurants and a bar/lounge. Golf course was also free too. Food and menu had a local flavour with locally sourced produce and was tasty. Easy access to coastal path and Carlyon Bay. Reasonable walk to Charlestown Harbour too.

Visited the Spa at Carlyon Bay Hotel whilst on holiday in the area. I rang on the Tuesday and was lucky enough to get a slot for an hour full body massage the next day. Alex very kindly responded to my emails quickly and efficiently. Linzi my masseuse and was brilliant, she applied the perfect amount of pressure and paid a lot of attention to my problem areas. A massive thank you :-)

Lovely food very well cooked, my wife liked her dessert so much she wouldn't even let me try it?The young lady taking care of our table was excellent, very helpful and friendly which made the whole experience even more special. (We were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary)A lovely evening.
