Nice cream tea but made to feel a little small when asked to move to another table away from the garden view as they were all

Staying at the hotel this was the easy option for dinner but we really enjoyed the outstanding bbq pulled pork pizza and I'd return for that if close by again. The Cornish cheeseboard was a bit limited with only 3 cheeses, all of which were hard cheeses, one of which was a herb cheese. I expected a bit more variety with cornish cheeses tbh with maybe a soft cheese and / or blue cheese and also what was really needed with a regional cheeseboard was a description of what the cheeses were so I could purchase locally. Being a bit of a cheese fan I didn't order this because I don't like sweet puddings, I ordered because I love cheese, so to get such a limited selection with no info was disappointing. The pickled celery accompanying the cheeseboard was amazing though!Breakfast included with our stay was lovely, perfectly cooked and great produce so I'd recommend this place to eat any time of day.

My wife and I have been regular visitors to the Cornwall Hotel near St Austell for many years and I am glad to say that the hotel & spa goes from strength to strength in terms of quality and its warm welcome to its guests. Our very recent stay was with family members who have never been to the hotel before so we were naturally apprehensive on their behalf. However, we need not have worried as they thoroughly enjoyed their stay. The staff are warm and welcoming and they score top points for their efficient reception staff. The food is very good and if one has a preference for fish dishes, the menu fulfils this taste in spades which I think is sourced locally with Mevagissey just down the road. We stayed in the main hotel In a junior suite which are roomy and luxuriously fitted out. However, one of our party stayed in one of the chalet rooms which are equally nice but not quite so roomy for obvious reasons. We made full use of the spa and gym and infinity pool which is set in an idyllic country side setting and is ideal if one just wants to lie on a recliner and read a book. The gym and pool are also free for paying guests. In summary, if one wants a restful getaway and to be pampered in peaceful and delightful surroundings with the beautiful Cornish coast on the doorstep, then the Cornwall Hotel & Spa should be at the top of your list.

Great experience and ambiance, the servi r was excellent and attended to.Parking: Small amount of parking near the hotel, parking lot 2 had maybe a capacity of 10-15 cars, then there was an unpaved parking lot to the right of parking lot 2, not the best if in rainy weather.Dietary restrictions: Some GF options but could have a wider variety

Our daughter treated us to a Spa and tea experience. The massage was really good in a couples room. Then off to the hotel for afternoon cream tea and even more food. Superb service, very good food and so full could not eat it all so on request a food box with containers was produced. What a place, would thoroughly recommend it. Good value for money

Came here last year for afternoon tea and really enjoyed it. This time we had our dogs but on checking ahead we were told the bar area was available to bring dogs so booked. We had a very very enjoyable afternoon tea and our dogs were perfectly behaved. Another guest and our lovely waiter both commented on how brilliant our dogs were. Thank you for being so welcoming and we will be back next year on our Cornwall holiday.

My first time visiting and I was very impressed. I am a local (Helston) but want to explore what it is that brings tourists to our beautiful county. I can certainly see why this one does that. The food was delightful, couldn't fault anything. The staff certainly added to the experience, so polite and helpful all of the time. I only stayed for one night, but could happily stay here for much longer. I'd move in if I could!

Stayed here 2 years ago with my husband & decided to take mum elderly mum this time for a mum/daughter break. Super hotel, fabulous team; everyone without question gave great customer service. Fab food including local specials (fresh sardines to die for!). Cocktail happy hour every day makes cocktails affordable. Delicious breakfasts too - poached eggs runny every time as I requested :) Pool / pool area / changing rooms clean and well equipped. I stay in lots of hotels on business & this is excellent. We’ll done team!

A fabulous weekend here (not our first visit). A lovely , friendly team from reception, bar, restaurant & housekeeping. We enjoyed a relaxing spa day (recommend Amy & Rachel) & a delicious meal. The sun made an appearance so we also enjoyed a drink on the terrace. All in all a great weekend to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Look forward to the next visit.

The restaurant does a great afternoon tea. Really good and at a great price. The waiter, I think he’s called Craig is very friendly and so welcoming. We have been several times but it’s a much better experience when he is working, he is by far the friendliest staff member here.

We visited here for a night in July as a small break away. On first impressions the staff were lovely professional and polite. As part of the stay we booked dinner in the hotel, which in all fairness was better than the breakfast however the food was overpriced, the wine was also over priced. Our room was a double overlooking the main gardens which was suitable for the price however the bathroom smelled of damp and the shower controls were broken, you could a have a cold shower or a scold your skin off shower, there also was no way to control the main shower head (above you) and the smaller rinse shower head. For breakfast we both had the eyes royal which was very disappointing the eggs yolks were over cooked, but the whites were still raw to a certain degree (what I call egg snot) the general cleanliness of the dining area was also a little lacking. We had booked a spa treatment in the afternoon the spa however was very good from the treatments to the facilities. The afternoon tea was good with a selection of cakes and sandwiches. Overall the hotel was a little tired and unloved and could do with revamp in certain areas and a general maintenance program would be good, the staff however a a credit to the company. Would I visit again yes to stay possibly but I would not pay the extra for the breakfast and would dine out of the hotel a the dining experience have let the hotel down.

We have just stayed at the hotel and had a lovely stay. The room was stunning, a last minute upgrade for £20 to the junior suite. The pool area was really nice, very spacious and the timings and staff very good. The service from check in to check out was great, a young staff but they couldn’t do enough for you. The food really impressed, great evening meal (superb dessert) clearly a talented chef. The breakfast was delicious… Having stayed at many 5 stars hotels around the country and abroad I was really pleasantly surprised at the overall offerings of this hotel and I would highly recommend it. A great find and we will definitely be returning.

Lovely setting patio area to enjoy any food and drink. Arrived early our room was ready standard room in the main hotel. Variety of beveridges biscuits and water , fresh milk on request. Shower excellent and fluffy large towels. Great view out over the front of hotel. Much preferred a room in main hotel the rooms which looked liked lodges were quite dark as alot of trees. Menu same in restaurant as in bar not the most thrilling, lazy chef you need different choices in the restaurant. Having said that the meals were very tasty. Breakfast bit pricey £15 only had once plentiful cold buffet but cooked breakfast was warm on cold plates snotty eggs. The hotel is on the bus route we never used the car visited mevagissey, eden project charlestown, fowey , St Austell 10mins down the road. Housekeeping every day We had a lovely break the staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. ?

Went for a spa treatment here which was a gift for my birthday. Friendly staff in the spa! Lovely massage and great facilities! The spa could do with some more seating area to lounge around on and abit of a deep clean but apart from that was lovely!
