“My culinary bar is set pretty high and as a result I rarely leave reviews as I know what goes into making a decent meal and I don’t think it fair to damn with feint praise because my hopes have been left wanting. That was not case at One Fish Street. You excelled. OK it was a quiet, wet evening in St Ives, reflected in the turnout, but that was entirely irrelevant when presented with the quality and care (pride) of each course served with the most affable and honest service I can recall. I’m struggling to pick one course over another on the tasting menu, but failing. All were exceptional. Perhaps, probably, one of the best meals this year with no caveat or Michelin references needed. Wish you were nearer home. Well done.”
