Ugly Butterfly Restaurant and Bar Cornwall
Carbis Bay Estate, Carbis Bay, Saint IvesOh wow the food just kept on coming. This was absolutely stunning. Every mouthful exploding with flavours. The pea soup and the lamb were my favourite. Stunning setting, beautiful surroundings. We also paired with the wine tasting course and it did not disappoint. Lovely flavours to compliment each course. This evening was a real treat and if your able to book a table you will not be disappointed

Porthmeor Beach Cafe
Porthmeor Beach, Saint IvesWe went there for lunch as a family of four, along with our two dogs. We had booked in advance and requested a shaded table, so we were very pleased to be seated in the shade on arrival.
The view was absolutely stunning, overlooking the ocean and coastline, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
The food was amazing, we had the mussels, chips, crab sandwich, and fried garlic squid, and everything was absolutely delicious. The prices were also very reasonable for the quality of the food.
The staff were welcoming, friendly, and very helpful throughout our visit. I would highly recommend this place!

Blas Burgerworks
The, Warren, Saint IvesSadly, the staff weren’t the friendliest and seemed to expect customers to already know the ordering and booking process inside out. That said, the burgers are usually excellent and the chips are always lovely. On this occasion though, the burgers were a little dry, the bun was very cold and dry too, and I think the aioli may have been forgotten.
Still, this remains our go-to place for burgers — you definitely pay for them, but the quality of the ingredients is usually top-notch.

The Fish Shed St Ives
Porthmeor Beach, Saint IvesI love this place. It has a wonderful view over Porthmeor Beach where the sun sets into the sea in high summer. Try the mackerel Scotch egg, homemade fish fingers and the lobster roll.

Talay Thai Kitchen
Wharf Rd, Saint IvesRecently moved to ST. Ives for work. Went for lunch today, wasn’t too hungry so ordered tapas massaman and sticky rice, also had a singha, can honestly say this was the most authentic food I’ve had outside of Thailand (I lived there for 2 years), nothing at all to criticise, friendly staff with great service and amazing food. Will definitely be back

Porthmeor Beach, Saint IvesWe visited twice and voted it our best beach vibe in St Ives. Even after a long season the staff were great. We had greek food twice and it was delicious and very authentic. We were lucky to get there as Beach west was closing for the winter but definitely worth visiting in 2025!

The Rum & Crab Shack
Wharf Rd, Saint IvesI’m surprised Rum and Crab is rated only 4.2 stars at the time of writing, because it truly feels like a luxury in St Ives. For the quality, the prices are very reasonable. I went with a party of three, and we shared a platter for four — the value was excellent, and the food itself was outstanding. This is definitely a must-visit in St Ives. A unique spot with a fantastic atmosphere and a wide selection of drinks.

Yellow Canary
12 Fore St, Saint IvesA must visit if celiac or gluten intolerant. Having trailed round St Ives looking for anything gluten free GF to eat it was such a treat to find the yellow canary cafe offering gluten free pasties and GF cream teas. Whilst several establishments claim to have gluten free options, when you question them about cross contamination etc quite clearly they’re not. But not a problem at yellow canary lovely food atmosphere and friendly staff. Will certainly visit again before we go home.

Jus' Desserts St Ives
Wharf Rd, Saint IvesStopped by Jus Dessert on 26th May while visiting St Ives and overall really enjoyed it.
The ice cream was excellent, really tasty and definitely worth the stop. Good flavours and really enjoyable once we got it.
The only thing that let it down slightly was the service. It felt a little slow and a bit disorganised at times. The staff were pleasant enough, but there was quite a lot of chatting behind the counter and it felt like orders kept getting interrupted or forgotten. I was asked around five separate times what three scoops I’d ordered ?
Nothing major, and it certainly didn’t ruin the visit, but it did make the experience feel a little more chaotic than it needed to be.
Overall though, the ice cream itself was lovely and I’d still recommend it. Solid 4/5.

The Upper Deck Bar And Terrace
3 St Peters St, Saint IvesI was checking the website for when The Upper Deck was opening for the 2026 season and felt compelled to leave an honest review. We love it here, we had a few breaks in Carbis Bay last year and catch the scenic train into St Ives. We make an absolute point of spending (multiple) times here, the staff, atmosphere, view, pizza always warrant five stars. See you in April.

Willy Waller's Ice Cream Factory
Wharf Rd, Saint IvesThe raspberry frozen yoghurt was absolutely delicious and the staff was very friendly. Fair prices.
The only unusual thing was that the “Captain” rum and raisin had a chocolate ice cream base instead of vanilla, which was different to normal rum and raisin, but not necessarily bad.
But all the flavours we tried were lovely.
