Great place to eat. As a family of 5 with a dog we were welcomed onto the Terrace which works well in winter as fully heated. Lush food and great service.

We visited the loft on New Year's as a couple with our dog, hoping to warm up after the rain. We hadn't booked but were met with a friendly smile and shown to a table on the terrace. We had the most wonderful Sunday lunch, everything full of flavour and beautifully cooked. We both said it was the best roast dinner we had had in a long time. 10/10. We would most definitely recommend it.

We had, had an unfortunate experience at another restaurant and as we walked back towards town we thought we would chance it to see if they had a table. The room is welcoming & bright with a lovely atmosphere. The staff were all very friendly and got straight on to seeing if they could fit us in. To our luck someone hadn't turned up and we could have their table. Our waitress was lovely and friendly. She was also coeliac so very understanding of our gluten allergies. The food was incredible! I had the salmon to start which was delicious followed by the roast beef (minus the yorkshire). I then finished with a trio of ice cream. Everything was faultless, amazing food, amazing wine and fantatsic staff. Thank you for turning what had started as a terrible lunchtime into a wonderful one. We will be back in June!

We have just had an amazing experience sampling the most divine cuisine with exceptional service. The food was spectacular as was the service and the staff were so attentive. Thank you very much.

Pretty and cosy family-run restaurant in the backstreets, artistic quarter of the town. Nice atmosphere. Had a hake dish with leek veloute and garlic potatoes which was delicious! Highly recommended.

I would rate this as the best Sunday lunch in St Ives by a country mile. The meat is always perfectly cooked, the sides are delicious and the service is spot on. I could genuinely drink the gravy out of a bucket it’s that good. Plus it’s reasonably priced. But I have one criticism… I’m gluten free which is rubbish. And then what makes it even more rubbish is when you’re gluten free and so the restaurant removes the cauliflower cheese and Yorkshire pudding from your meal but doesn’t supplement it with anything else yet you’re still charged the same. Just an extra roast potato and some additional veg would have been lovely. Just my opinion!

Recommend to us from a friend. We we all blown away with the amount of flavour in the food here - I had the Prawn Risotto and my Wife had the Chowder. Our daughters had the mussels and truffle fries and we all very much enjoyed it.When we come back to St Ives we will be coming back here. Great food, service and nice venue.

Excellent eatery !! Inviting, relaxing, cool ambience with attractive fairy light mood lighting and unobtrusive jazz music playlist. Unpretentious, friendly and attentive staff. Imaginative, generous dishes created from tasty, seasonal and local produce, cooked to the highest standard, and well presented, in timely manner, within a warm, cosy and welcoming atmosphere. One of the best restaurants in St Ives that we’ve found so far and everything that The Source restaurant (our previous dining experience) failed to deliver. The mussels were to die for and the fish cookery was “en point” and excellent. Thoroughly recommend.

Unexpected to find this place in the backstreet's of St. Ives Cornwall close to the harbourA small but very nice restaurant the food is very nice and the staff and service is very goodNot suitable for disabled people unless they can climb a flight of stairs.

Hidden Gem. Just off the front, but with sea views. Great value food, wife had the Prawn Rosoto, and I had the Lamb ragatonni.

Wow, what a great restaurant! We were very disappointed that 2 of the mains options weren't available after having been chosen by our group. Having been certain the review would be maxed at 4 stars, we quickly changed our mind after the other dishes arrived. The honey whipped butter and foccacia is an incredible starter and all mains were delicious. The website is also a little harsh, there is definitely a good view! ?

It was our first time visiting the loft restaurant and we’ll definitely be back! The restaurant was beautifully decorated with fairy lights which gave a lovely atmosphere and the food was delicious. I had the best prawn risotto I have ever tasted- it was so full of flavours & lots of prawns. My daughters both had the chicken supreme, which again was so tasty and they loved it. My husbands steak was perfectly cooked and we all agreed we’d love to come back!! All had to be cooked gluten free as 3 of us have Celiac disease and nothing was lacking in flavour or too much trouble. Thank you for a lovely evening .
