I took our daughter to the Seahorse over half term. We spent the afternoon splashing around the pool & then had something to eat at the restaurant. The pool was busy but great fun. The restaurant on the other hand was empty when we decided to eat. Not sure why, but it seemed lacking in atmosphere. There didn't appear to be any music playing for example. The food however was good & arrived quickly. Big portions too. We will probably go back but not until it's warm & dry enough to sit on the terrace.

We had to turn away as they do not accept cards or contact to pay for parking. Welcome to the dark ages!

Always enjoyable clean food delicious service friendly and attentive.Parking: Quite expensive I put in for 3hrs and ticket only gave me 2hrsKid-friendliness: Yes kids menus, staff very aware of kids. Couple of parents allowed their kids to run around which is ridiculous when people walking with food and hot drinks just ignorance

Only popped in to see my brother as he works in kitchen and decided to grab spot of lunch while there. The food was amazing the staff were super helpful and friendly and the views were breathtaking, this is a first visit since pentewan sands changed hands several years ago but it's come forward leaps and bounds we will definitely be visiting again

Can only comment on the pools as that was all I was there for I went with a large group of youngsters For a normal swim I expect the changing rooms are fine They were clean and tidy The water was warm and the area around the pool was tidy The slides were working and the youngsters had fun using them There is pay for car parking Level entrance and level to the changing rooms Cafe upstairs and an amusement arcade downstairs

Had vegan fish and chips to take away. Have been looking forward to this for absolutely ages as I was very impressed to see that the Seahorse did provide this vegan dish which I had once in a vegan restaurant in Truro and absolutely loved. I was asked if I wanted small portions but I elected for normal size….which were huge. And the takeaway for two cost £30. But it was awful. We hate and almost never waste food but my husband threw half of his away, chips were mediocre and the vegan fish was oily and, well, unpleasant.

Ok service, small portions for price and slow service but the worst part is the car park con that they have going on with Llanroc parking. Paid correct fee but due to heavy rain/wind and my disabled daughter getting wet I did not check the ticket. Came back within the time slot I paid for to a ticket and fine. Ticket had only printed £1 paid despite £3 being paid. I totally accept I should have checked the ticket - I usually do. Then I would have only lost £3 rather than £62 Tried to appeal and explain what happened but they ignored and have continued with the fine. High price for a mediocre meal. Check your parking tickets carefully - don’t trust what it says on the screen. Money making con.

Just after the lunch "rush?".... only one other family in restaurant with a noisy child...the waitress put us right next to them....so I changed tables(not like they weren't any others available)....Took ages for table service so went to bar....the miserable girl took order then tried to give me a pint of no syrup Pepsi....erm it's ran out...and still continues to pour?‍♀️....jeeeez....... anyway.....the food was really nice and not too overly priced for a caravan park.

Our roast dinner was absolutely delightful. The first older lady was really helpful and good at serving us. However the young lady with flower tattoo on her arm had awful service, wasn’t busy but service was extremely slow. Took forever for her to clear our table and was too busy talking to boy behind the bar. Had to ask her twice for dessert menus and had to ask twice for a teaspoon for my two young children’s ice cream to which that point the ice cream had melted. If it wasn’t for this we would have left a huge tip considering the food was excellent!!

The roast here was really good and the First Lady that served us was really friendly and professional ( older, curly hair). However, she left and the meal went downhill from there on. The restaurant was quiet so no excuse for poor service. Not only was it painfully slow, we had to ask for our plates to be cleared after they sat there for a considerable time. We then had to wait while the table was cleared to order desserts. They brought the children’s ice cream out without spoons or wafers. On paying, I left a small tip and said to the waitress that we would have left a good tip but that the service had been incredibly slow. Sarcastically she said, oh sorry about that, then added , enjoy the rest of your day, whilst another member of staff shouted it afterwards. The boys behind the bar were really good but the two girls were really rude and lazy. One of them was on their phone and the other just sloppy and unfriendly. Had the service been the same level as the food we would recommend but definitely wouldn’t go back.

Visited the restaurant on three occasions during my stay at Pentewan sands. Once for breakfast and twice for dinner. On all three occasions the quality of food was good and portion sizes were generous however on all occasions the experience was overshadowed by extremely bad customer service, the place is obviously understaffed and as a result of this the service is extremely poor. No obvious manager is present, seems to be run by headless chickens with no experience. Some staff members clearly don't want to work there governed by the continuous dirty looks given and huff and puffs after each request. Drinks took forever to come and seemed to be just left on the side for a long time. On one occasion my husband was waiting so long he just went and collected the tray himself whilst waiters just stood talking. Such a shame as the restaurant could do so well. But was practically empty every time we arrived. If the customer service was better we would have used the restaurant a lot more during our stay.
