Georgie is without the best person and sandwich maker at Greg’s. She made 2 unbelievable ham and egg salad baguettes honestly. She gave them to me with kindness and love saying she made them personally and hoped they were good. No they were amazing thank god for Georgie at Greg’s Ambleside make her the manager

Bought a bacon meal deal. Bacon cold 4 members of staff in and at 9.45 am there wasn’t a single sandwich out. This place goes from bad to worse. Very dissatisfied

Don't know why the rating is so low. I went to have lunch , there was a short line which gave me enough time to choose my order (Hot Chocolate and Stake Bake) which was lovely and the staff were really kind. I recommend getting the Greggs app as when you sign up there is a free hot drink to redeem.

We were up and about very early in Ambleside last week and desperately seeking a coffee. Nowhere was open but the delightful lady in Greggs took pity on us and made us two flat whites free of charge. We were very touched by this lovely gesture and the coffee was delicious! Thank you ?

I’ve just read a review regarding Greggs in Ambleside and feel the need to respond as I work there.Most of what you say is correct regarding housing and employment in the area. It’s really hard to get staff for every business due to second homes and holiday let’s. Our young people just can’t afford to live hereAs for 2 people being able to run the store one serving and one cooking unfortunately that’s not the case.If it was that easy we’d be open. We need several people in store to make it work.Our sandwiches are freshly made each day and that’s another person we need.I’m sorry we weren’t open but there is more goes on behind the scenes than a lot of customers realise.As a team we do the best we can everyday with the staff we have.
