I don’t often write reviews. But the fish and chips were so horrible that I have to warn others. . Chips soggy and old and the fish batter looked good but had a synthetic taste and was not at all crispy. .Inedible and 5 portions at over £55 very expensive. I think it must have changed hands since we last came. Never again

Disgusting chips, warmed up from maybe nite before, fish was like a large fish finger, we ate it cos we were hungry, we were very disappointed been in a small village like hawkshead, and very expensive nearly 19 pds for 2fish and one bag chips, it's the thought of been ripped off, keep away

Possibly the worst chip shop in the country. Everything in batter is pre-fried, sat on the side and re-fried again. Unless you want a burger and that will be re-heated in the microwave. The oil must have burnt at some point, so everything had a wierd tang to it. Shame as this is the only one in the area.

Great chippy, the batter on the fish was crispy and not at all greasy. The chips were cooked beautifully and the curry sauce was a Chinese style and my fork literally stood up in it which is exactly how I like it. 100% will be eating here again.Parking: Short (2-3 minute) walk from chippy
