Lovely hotel and staff.Came here for my partners birthday and also our baby moon before our daughter is born. The room was very small for the amount we paid to stay for one night. There was an engagement party on which was fine but our room over looked the smoking area and it was extremely noisy.A lot of door banging went on until the early hours of the morning and the room was boiling, unable to turn off the radiator. It was a lovely hotel with lovely grounds but we could of stayed somewhere more spacious and less noisy for cheaper.

Went to Abbey House only for a 2 night stay, but the service and the rooms were really great. Breakfast super fantastic if you ask me, and the dinner was all I wanted. The surrounding area just outside the hotel were super cozy.

A lovely hotel, great food and service. A nice little walk down to the Abbey below. The only downdide is the tv was on the side wall, which made it hard to watch from the bed .

I attended my friend's wedding there. I didn't stop the night, so I am unable to comment. The service from all staff was impeccable. The staff made you feel at ease, and really looked after you. The venue was gorgeous, including the gardens. Would definitely recommend it.

Brilliant location and just off the main drag into barrow.Arrived at 8:40pm and was made aware food stopped at 9pm. Made my way to the restaurant and was welcomed without any hesitation. The food was brilliant, and I would recommend the steak. The only downside was the room was absolutely boiling, and I did try and sort the temperature but was told later the temperature display was for the underfloor heating and I was to screw radiator. Shocking nights sleep, but I am part to blame. The shower pumped out boiling water and didn't go cold/cooler.
