We had a booked a table over a month ago as my friend was coming over to England from the Cayman Islands for a group of 7-10 people who were coming from all over. Only 7 of us were going to eat. The day of the booking my friend received an email cancelling the booking with no explanation. My friend rang and was told it was because they only had one person in the kitchen and we probably couldn't sit together!! This was a Monday night. When I arrived I could see reserved signs on a few tables and the staff obviously knew the people. The lass behind the bar was very unhelpful and the manager was quite rude as well, until I showed my friends and family discount email then they were all smiles and couldn't do enough. We managed to all sit together by pushing a couple of tables together. In the end we all ordered food separately and it came in a speedy fashion and was very tasty, we ended up having a lovely night ?

Amazing fish and chips served by welcoming staff and friendly locals. What more could you ask for after a day shopping. Not the first time we’ve called in here but well done Strawberry for making us feel welcome again on a fairly busy Saturday tea time

Lovely pub. Food is basic but tastes good. They have a new menu now which I’m looking forward to trying when we next visit.
The place itself is great but the regulars dog constantly barking is a bit annoying, the last 2 times we went there it constantly barked all the time we were there, I told the bar staff but the were quite happy to let them stay and drink,

Regular attend this establishment. Staff always friendly and efficient, they never disappoint. The landlord is open to change his beer stock and this is very appreciated by the patrons….me and others. Lovely pub, food is great and value for money
