I was almost put off by the small number of negative comments but decided to go by the authenticity of some of the positive reviews. We ordered a takeaway for 7 people. It was ready pretty much on time despite a very busy restaurant, we all really enjoyed the food and there were some fairly seasoned curry eaters in the group so if it had fallen short they would have called it out. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and had a nice sense of humour. Whilst not the best curry I have ever had it was very good and good value for money. Definitely recommended. Thank you.

This restaurant is tastier than I imagined. It’s my first time trying Indian cuisine since coming to the UK, and it suits my taste very well. The staff is also very enthusiastic; when we had too many dishes, they added an extra table for us. I don’t know why this restaurant only has a rating of 3.8, but I’m more than willing to give it a 5.

The entire experience was excellent! We visited on Xmas evening and were treated to a wonderful meal and superb service. I’d HIGHLY recommend this place to both lovers of Indian cuisine and fine food/service! They literally made our Christmas Day a memorable one ??

Professional members of staff who were very friendly and welcoming. Excellent food and drink menu. The food was brilliant. Very comfortable seating areas. Highly recommended when visiting Bowness on Windermere.

I usually don't prefer giving bad reviews, but in this case, I was so disappointed that I had to give a 1 star. On a Saturday evening, I walked into the restaurant without having a reservation. I was told to wait for 10 minutes for a table of 2. The person at the bar counter greeted me with a smile and some small talk. After about 10 minutes, he got a call for a reservation and he told that they were busy and there was no point in waiting anymore. When I asked him about the reason for keeping me waiting, he gave a rude response. Time is equally important for everyone.

Me and my husband looked for indian and made the biggest mistake of going to that neighbor resto,(guys dont be fooled of that big fancy exterior) we regret it badly but the next night we found Shahibs and the food was beyond perfect, its very homey and the people are so nice, Az and Zack are so accomodating,giving me free coconut naan every meal is a bonus 4 nights in a row and didnt get tired of it, their food is so perfect ,big portions and full of flavour,if you like fish ,Zalfry Fish is the best option, my husband had biryani everynight and didnt get tired of it, i wish we have Shahib's in East Sussex as well, defo will be back on our next visit to Lake District.

Great place. We called in here during the heavy snow at the start of Dec. What a warm welcome we received. Great service. Delicious food. Very reasonably priced. We often have Indian meals out and we found the quality and taste really good
