We always try to visit this idyllic, friendly family run Italian restaurant whenever we are in the lakes. As usual it did not disappoint, from the moment we walked in to sadly leaving. The family and staff are a true credit to this little Italian haven. Very best wishes for the coming year, we'll be seeing you all soon.

Good food ,but poor atmosphere in the upstairs room ,also expensive for a glass of wine .Parking: You will need to find on street parking after 6.00pm or carpark which is a 10min walk.Wheelchair accessibility: Not a lot of room on ground floor and access is via a narrow alleyway.

Wow, what an amazing gem, we love our italian food and the place didn't disappoint. the food is very authentic and very tasty, the staff couldn't do enough for you even the chef came and asked me how i would like my steak and boy it was perfect, i even got my mother on the phone to chat to him in italian! lovely wonder people and well worth a visit!

We were staying in Bowness and had a restaurant booking at a nearby hotel which we cancelled on the second night as the hotel meals weren't as good as advertised. So We found this restaurant in Bowness on the off chance, with a stroke of luck , they managed to seat us.. The staff are so lovely and professional. We all ordered a lobster pasta dish which was mouth watering and one if the best Italian dishes I have ever tasted. The desserts were superb. Can't recommend this place highly enough. After reading other reviews, which advise you to book first, I would strongly advise you to do that...we must have been so lucky to get a table that night. Will certainly be visiting again. Top Italian restaurant ? ?

Friends of ours from Liverpool recommended Villa Positano just last night...we live fairly locally in Kirkby Lonsdale,40mins away and didn't know it existed...wow...it was like being in Positano .....excellent authentic Italian ambience, people and food Loved it all...please open up a branch in KLonsdale...we need you!

We rang ahead to book a table for 4 and requested a high chair roughly 4 weeks before we were due to holiday in Bowness. On booking the restaurant said no problem for a high chair but no mention was made about not allowing prams. When we arrived for our meal we were told no prams allowed and therefore we had to leave it outside (in the rain) or in the alleyway (where it could be stolen). Having being left in an impossible position we couldn’t dine and had to struggle to find another restaurant in the pouring rain with a 6 month old baby. Please DO NOT book if you have a pram. I understand prams take up room in restaurants but this should have been communicated to us when I requested a high chair on booking. So disappointed as we have dined here on a previous visit and recommended it to family. No apology made and rather rude attitude. Quite frankly there are other restaurants who deserve the custom more than this restaurant that are in my option serving better food. We ended up getting another restaurant eventually where the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. Spend your money elsewhere!

The food was amazing! This is a family run restaurant by 3 Italian brothers and their wife’s. The food was by far the best Italian we have tried in the UK and you could feel the passion throughout. Would definitely recommend!
