Bistros in Carlisle

“In the centre of Carlisle, underneath the Tourist Information Centre (and actually the neighbour of a bigger, more well-known coffee chain) is this absolute jewel of a coffee shop. Being a superfan of great coffee, I ordered a Flat White and sat outside to wait. I am really, really pleased to report that my coffee absolutely blew away anything that could be offered next door. Well presented in nicely coloured crockery and with a neat bit of latte art, this coffee was made by someone who clearly loves coffee. A well-balanced, sweet, corto espresso shot carried in well textured milk, it was the perfect start to a day and totally justified the skills needed to make a truly great cup of coffee. Brilliant!”
