“I’ve stayed here twice now and cannot fault a thing! I’ve stayed in the twin room and also one of the singles and next time I’m booking room 14 now I’ve had a nose around! I think the first thing you notice are how friendly the staff are, every single one of them. Then you realise how clean everywhere is, not a speck of dust on the skirting boards or panelling. The rooms are quite compact, if you are over 6ft, room 4 is not for you, but I’m 5’9”and fitted perfectly. A lot of the rooms face the main road, which is noisy, but then you close the windows and it is perfectly quiet. I slept like a log! There is so much choice for breakfast, which is included in the price. There is also a little courtyard garden you can sit in.

“Absolutely stunning little cafe! We were up from durham, celebrating our honeymoon and popped in to the sycamore tree and we are so glad we did! We both had the full breakfast with the Haggis and it was so fresh and delicious! Everything on the plate tasted like it had been cooked woth love! Staff were so friendly and helpful! We will 100% be back again. I said to my husband I would drive here just for the breakfast! What a great start to our day! Thank you ?”
