I am afraid all the recent reviews sum it up. Waited an hour for mains, the list of what food was not available… it was easier to ask what they had! On chap complained he had asked for a rare steak and got well done, no apology offered but full payment expected. The staff team leader apologised repeatedly for the wait to customers and stated they only had two chefs. Given the reviews going back months this is not a new issue. The company needs to invest in staff who can prepare more than one meal at a time and they clearly need more chefs or capable chefs.

Turned up to hotel at 15:30 to be told i cant have a drink and that the food doesn't get served till 18:00. This is a joke when i finish work i want a nice cold pint, not a lady giving me some attitude telling me i cant have a pint because she isn't aloud to serve me a beer. I mean what is goin on here its half 3 in the afternoon and i cant have a beer! place needs shutting down instantly.

We stopped for dinner whilst staying locally. The waiters and waitresses were lovely and really helpful. Unfortunately the food was terrible. Both the burger and chicken and bacon from the caesar salad were burnt. Would not recommend nor will we be returning.

I was contemplating going elsewhere but after a loooong drive decided not to. I thought previous reviews maybe harsh and not warranted, it did look cosy and comfortable. The staff are lovely so this makes it hard to put review. Not expecting 5☆ food far from it. I did expect Spahgetti Bolognaise to be cooked through with no frozen bits. The food was replaced but cooked like it had been nuked. My daughter had the Chocolate brownie and 3/4's through was eating plastic. Thankfully spat out. OK she's 20 but if this was a child. So do better please £85 for 4 people. There is a fast food chain over the road. Do yourself a favour and eat there.

First of all food took 1 hour too arrive. Service barely showed up. It's a nice place but when I got my pizza it was cold. NO REFUNDS??A forklift picking up crates is more enjoyable than waiting

Just had a lovely early evening meal. Lovely staff, reasonably priced and tasty food. Perfect start to a special holiday.

Restricted menu,in other words no staff,..think there were 5 mains to choose from and a couple of starters. Quality was not the best, quantity was even worse, good job I wasn't that hungry

We had booked four cooked breakfasts. Throughout the pandemic and beyond, help yourself was sensibly stopped and all food was cooked to order. This appeared to work very well and customers were receiving reasonable food. We discovered that they had reverted to help yourself on the first two mornings. Not withstanding the fact that Covid hasn't gone away, this method of food delivery, is absolutely diabolical. Food is hard and either shrivelled up or dried up. I could have bounced the fried eggs off the wall. The breakfast looked like those in a seaside rock emporium. There were a number of things unavailable, usually listed on a board outside the entrance. Thank goodness that on our last two mornings, breakfasts were cooked to order and what an improvement they were. I have to give our thanks and praise for the exceptional service provided by Barbara. Her service was above and beyond and she is a credit to the establishment. Good staff are hard to find. It would be good if they fixed the issues with shortages and got the coffee machine to work. This was out of order throughout our stay. We chose not to eat here in the evenings, favouring the bright lights and restaurants of central Carlisle.

Not a bad setting for hotel bar with plenty of seating.Unfortunately £3.25 for a lemonade is a rip off so be careful what you order. Lager at £4.25 is not so bad.

Adjacent to the Premier Inn. Very relaxing inside, with nice food and a decent array of drinks. Can be busy at peak times.

This hard one to review the inside is lovely and a very relaxed place to eat the staff are great they look after you really well .Now the food the menu is basic and they sometimes don’t have all the choice .This used to be totally different I was disappointed June 2022?

I've been here twice now this year, against my wishes I might add, and both times have just been a diabolical joke. The service itself is terrible... You stand around for ages just waiting for someone to seat you, and half the time they're just wandering around mindlessly, not paying attention. Occasionally they might ask you if you have any food allergies, but they don't actually listen to you when you tell them. One particular server who I have now encountered twice so far, barely lets you get a word in edge ways, at breakfast, rather than listen to what you want, she just asks, you want eggs? you want bacon? you want sausage? You tell her you want vegetarian sausage and she immediately follows up with, you want black pudding? They just don't listen. My mother ordered Bacon, beans and mushrooms to go on toast... they brought the three things out on three separate plates, my uncle and I then waited a further 10 minutes for ours to come out, only for them to bring out my mothers order AGAIN. When asked if they had soya milk, we were told they would go for a look... 15 minutes pass "No, we don't, sorry" a few minutes later a different person brings out some soya milk. While we sat, eventually, eating we watched as a traffic jam of people waited at the door to be seated while staff just wandered blindly past them. One day they have a serve yourself buffet for hot breakfasts, the next day you have to order it and wait. Multiple times we heard the servers apologising to people for making mistakes on their orders... The whole place is just so badly run, if it wasn't attached to a hotel, the place would be out of business in no time... It wasn't even particularly busy and there was at least 3 people working the floor... When I had an evening meal here, the prices were ludicrous. A fish and chips here, you can get 10 minutes down the road at another premier inn for £5 cheaper. The portions are most certainly not worthy of the price you pay for them and look like they've been prepared by a chef with delusions of Michelin quality food while preparing it in a microwave and plating it wearing boxing gloves and a blindfold.
