A lovely pub to visit, decent beers on with a choice, different to the last one. I had a Hawkshead mild, absolutely great, very efficient staff, nice atmosphere, worth a visit.

Food was delicious with a great variety of choice. The biggest Yorkshire pudding I have ever seen! Service was top notch. So lovely to have received a posy of flowers for Mothers day. It was a very special meal with the family. Thank you to all the staff for being wonderful! We are very blessed to have this pub as our local. The staff are always friendly and welcoming... even with our dog! :)

Obviously a committed and passionate team running the Marton Arms.We spent 2 nights here.Owner Heather with Mark and Simon cant do enough for you.As soon as you walk in there's a good vibe about the place.Awesome menu ,tastefully rustic decor with clean, cosy rooms and dog friendly.

If you’re debating where to eat in the area: definitely choose this place!I went for dinner this evening, and was pleasantly surprised with one of the best meals I’ve had for a year or two. Tonight was the night I experienced the first Venison Wellington to beat my previous favourite from 8 years ago.Whoever created the menu and cooked the food deserves an award. The starter alone was to die for. My partner and I shared a Goats Cheese and Beetroot Cheesecake with Beetroot Sorbet & Smoked Haddock Sausage Roll with Dill Mayonnaise. The decor and dining experience is cosy and well thought through down to the quality cutlery and cloth napkins. The wine list and bar is very well stocked and the service is super friendly, helpful, attentive and professional!Eat at this establishment if you want a meal to remember!

Incredible Sunday roast - we had the beef and the venison wellington, just mind-bogglingly delicious and a beautifully design menu. The goat's cheese and beetroot cheesecake starter with beetroot Ice cream was innovative and a good sign of what was to come too.

How was the Marton Arms? The Marton Arms was a complete RIP OFF.A pint of Jeremy Clarkson's lager and one large glass of Sauvignon Blanc,£17.50 and I believe there was a service charge included in that. Why?I went to the bar for it and took it to my own table.Garbage, never again.

I went with my two grown up children. The family room for us, was ideal for our one night stay. The price was just right for dinner, bed & breakfast. The staff were welcoming and helpful, the food was excellent. We enjoyed the cosy, relaxed atmosphere and the off the main track location. We will definitely return!

A nice countryside pub. in a lovely quiet location with good scenic views. There's a good menu and the meals are cooked well. It's a friendly warm atmosphere in the bar.Our room was clean but basic which would of been OK if it wasn't for the loud boiler firing up intermediary throughout the night. The floor and door vibrated and the noise was excessive. It repeatedly woke us up leaving us really tired throughout the day. Spoke to management and just got a sorry its an old boiler. Charming place to eat. Wouldn't advise anyone to sleep.

LONG POST REVIEW SORRY not sorry!! Highly recommend that you pay a visit to this establishment it's got a lovely vibe about it , all staff & owner are so helpful & hands on engaging with customers making such a fab rapport. Definitely super friendly and very efficient, we visited 3 times twice for meals & once for a drink. The menu is unique and different from others l've seen in /around this area, which is a lovely change. Ingredients used are fresh local excellently put together to make super tasty and well presented meals ? We visited Dec 28th booked a 5.30pm table in one of the two large rooms for dining there's an small stand to/at bar area with 3 tall tables/with tall chairs for 4 it was a buzz of activity, (so be warned booking essential) The ambience is spot on?lovely festive decorations, together with the subtle lighting, stylish fixtures, fittings &, furnishings made it so inviting . There's a mixture of large parties/tables with families and friends and some couples , walkers with dogs as well as guests who are staying in the accommodation . Good selection of beers/ lagers, although the Morreti wasn't available on our 3 visits the Hawkstone is a good ? second choice tho. The Marton Arms Its closed after New-Years Day (we went for a NYD lunch) for 2 weeks for some building work . We look forward to ? seeing you all again in the ☀️ summer Whe we'll return (our favourite touring Caravan site Thornbrook barn) and partake of your hospitality once more , in much more pleasant weather (after that shocking ? storm and horrendous ? wind & rain) All the very best for 2024 Margi & kev
