We had the best pizza we've ever had at Fermentos last night. All of the food was fresh and well prepared. The service was amazingly good and the atmosphere was fab. Highly recommend a visit.

Maybe some of the best pizza we have ever had and we've had pizza from Italy! The only recommendation we would have is to book in advance whether you're trying to eat in or take out.

Service is off the charts could not do enough for you, being a small restaurant you are very well looked after. Drinks all very good. Pizzas I can only describe as very average, nice crispy base but toppings lacked any depth of flavour. Desserts, disappointing. There seemed to be a lot of repeat customers so perhaps an off night. Service and drink you won’t get better but I’ve had better food

Dined here whilst visiting a friend in Cockermouth.Absolutely nothing to find fault with. The house white was a delight, the sharing plater exceptional, and the pizzas were to die for - (the best we have tasted outside of Italy).We completed our meal with a tiramisu to share.....BIG MISTAKE........we should have ordered six !!!!! It was fabulous.We will definitely return when we visit Cockermouth again.Thank you

I have just had a take away - meat and vege pizza.Sadly the worset ever !! Smells quite raw floor and dough is so hardAldi wood fired pizza much much better.I would suggest to avoid take away!!Dining in quality may be different .Vegetarian options: Avoid take away from this place

Great little place, food is great. Pizza arrived in a couple of minutes and all fresh ingredients, tasted great and well cooked. Tiramisu to follow was one of the best ever followed by an espresso. Great place not many table.

Our favourite restaurant in Cumbria. We love the cosy atmosphere and we always have a great family meal out at Fermento's. The owners are lovely, and the pizzas are delicious, but my favourite has to be the homemade mascarpone with sour cherries. I would definitely recommend this pizzariaKid-friendliness: Our children always feel at home and love the Italian soft drinks

The pizzas here are really excellent, and very authentically Italian. We enjoyed the funghi and veggie ones and a friend thought the meat feast was delicious. It is a very small, popular restaurant with a small kitchen and you do need to book in advance, both to eat in and for the take aways. Service is friendly and efficient.

Booked this restaurant after reading the reviews. Glad we did, the restaurant is very small seating only a few tables. They also do take away pizzas. Don’t let the outside put you off going in as it does look a bit like a cafe. All our pizzas were very tasty and had the right amount of topping. Even though it’s small it had a great atmosphere and the service was very good. The home made deserts were excellent as well. It’s the sort of place you wish you had near where you live to bob in for a pizza and a glass of wine!. Every time we walked past during the week all the tables were taken, so I’d definitely book. (Only thing I’d change is the fact they don’t serve fresh orange, but that’s a personal choice)
