The stand-out quality of this hotel is the friendliness and professionalism of its staff. Even the staff in the hotel restaurant were superb. We stayed on the top floor and it was very quiet and peaceful. My only gripe was that all the windows are non-opening, which built up humidity.

What can I say about a hotel I booked but never actually stayed in? I booked early November and had to make use of the free cancellation, which I did within the permitted time frames. Six weeks later, numerous lunch times spent being pinged back and forth between Cockermouth Premier Inn and their head office, I have still not received my refund. A couple of staff were very apologetic but I am still without my money. Shocking customer service and I won't be using them again despite previous bookings with them.Noteworthy details: See above

The room was spotless the staff was really friendly and helpful the only fault was the location really but that’s what you get with premier inn I suppose so all in all it was very goodFood & drinks: Decent food and a very reasonable price and the staff was excellent

Not sure why people leave reviews for the food on the hotel page. Restaurant is separate and has it's own profile on Google, hotel has vending machine but does NOT serve food. Hotel is in great location, step away from the Lakes. Rooms are clean staff is friendly and helpful. Spacious free car park. Price is more than reasonable considering location.Rooms: Clean, spacious and well equipped in accordance with Premier Inn standards.Nearby activities: Walking distance to beautiful town of Cockermouth with plenty shops and attractions. It's at the edge of Lake District so it's hikers heaven, less than 20 minutes drive from magical Buttermere, 15 minutes drive from Keswick,10 minutes drive from Solway Coast.Food & drinks: Hotel does NOT serve food or drink, there is Brewers fayre Cockermouth next to it, it is not part of the hotel, they have a separate website and Google page and cooperate with hotel, but have separate staff and management. There is a vending machine in the hotel.

Lovely Premier Inn in a great location in Lake District. All staff were very welcoming and helpful. Rooms were cosy and comfortable and air conditioners was responsive. Extremely comfortable bed and great night's sleep both nights. Recommended and would definitely return.

Beware this hotel has no working WiFi. Staff say it hasn’t be working for days. Also very poor mobile signal, so if you need to be connected I’d advise staying somewhere else. Staff lovely but powerless to do anything as all complaints have to go through ‘head office’ and the phone line closes at 5pm! Premier Inn management need to get a grip - you’ll lose loyal customers to your competitors…

Used this as a base for our family holiday to the Lake District. The room was a good size for the 4 of us and apart from the fire alarm going off one night we had a lovely stay.

We had some issues with a faulty lock on our door and not being able to access our room. Peter was incredibly helpful, making us up a new room as quickly as possible.

Nearly all Premier Inns are clean but this one is spotless and well maintained. Breakfast lovely and staff so hardworking. Car park could use a litter pick. But the big disappointment was the evening meal. Slow queue to get table, even slower to order, not worth the time taken when the cold low quality food eventually arrives.

Low budget hotel, had what I expected, everything average apart from breakfast which was good.Evening meal, the half chicken over cooked and crispy, the meat was chewy. No coleslaw, which I found out after ordering.
