Lovely family meal. We had sharing plates for starters. All excellent. Lasagne and the monkfish for mains. Also very good. Prices were reasonable so represented great value.

For a standalone restaurant in a small market town Tarantellas is a rarity. Food is consistently excellent, staff welcoming and attentive we have dined worldwide in five star establishments but to be completely honest Tarantellas is our absolute gold standard by which ALL other restaurants are judged. All power to your elbow, you deserve every success

The lasagne was the best I've ever had.

Good food and good service, calamari was the best I’ve had in a while followed by Calzone and a panna cotta.

Went last weekend, a week after I had been to an upmarket Italian restaurant in Knightsbridge. The whole experience was twice as good, for half the price. Food was banging, and the atmosphere felt lively without being too loud. Good restaurant, I would, definitely recommend this place.

We've eaten there twice now. The restaurant is nothing flashy or pretentious, but the service is very good and the food is outstanding. Strongly recommend checking out the specials board where I've had the lobster and the steak medallions when I have visited. We'll definitely be going

A great evening out. Good food and wine with excellent service.Parking: There is on street parking, which may be difficult at weekends. But parking available in the market square and nearby shopping precinct.Wheelchair accessibility: All on one level.

Took my Daughter here last evening for dinner. Everything about the experience was excellent. It was quite busy, but we were tucked nicely into a 'niche' in the corner and you wouldn't have known. The service was attentive, prompt, courteous and non-intrusive. The food was superb - well presented, well cooked and well thought out. Lovely. There is a good range of drinks available too. Altogether an absolutely brilliant evening. Not at the cheaper end of the market, but very well worth it.

Seated next to a party of 9 extremely loud, drunk scousers. Restaurant was pretty much empty so we asked if we could move. Told us they were fully booked and it wasn’t possible. Could have flipped us within twenty minutes. Drinks were flat, paid for them anyway. Really dreadful experience. Got some chips down the road and half an hour later the place was still empty as we walked by. Do not visit here unless you enjoy being disappointed.

Worst customer service ever! Seated in a dark corner next to a very large and very noisy family party. Couldnt hear ourselves think let alone hold a conversation. Repeatedly asked if we could have a table elsewhere, even the small table by the bar would have been fine!. We would have eaten and gone in half an hour. Didnt get the chance to try the food, as we were forced to abandon our order and leave as it was impossible to have a meal in those circumstances. No offer of a take out made, which I would happily have paid for and taken. We were shouted at by the owner who couldnt be bothered to try and move us or help us in any way. Food might well be good but good customer service is vital in the restuarant trade. Little table at bar was still empty when we walked back up the street...we wont be back.
