Super meal and great service. Excellent sirloin cooked perfectly and cracking proper chips etc. Home made pud was great. Service was spot on. Sat by fire, but it wasn't on in Jan! Great meal though thumbs ?

Nice find, we were visiting the Lakes and found this gem. Good portion sizes, tasty food, excellent service, perfect pub for a family meal

Plenty of parking space opposite the pub which was a plus for us. We can only presume that today the chef had a bad day in the kitchen. This is the first time I have seen Leek and Potato soup served where the contents actually stand proud in the soup dish. It really looked as if it was puréed veg that was waiting for the stock and cream/ milk to be added , but hadn’t!! I think we were all a bit shocked at the appearance of it. I ordered a Brie and Bacon Pannini which actually came with melted cheddar not Brie. The chips were brown, as others have stated. There was no slaw on the salad which was another error. I can only assume that there was a problem in the kitchen as no excuse for such basic errors.

The three of us enjoyed our tasty Sunday roasts (beef x2 and gammon) . Yorkshire puds were cooked to perfection and the gravy was divine. Plenty of horseradish sauce to accompany the beef which always works for me! The veg was a little ‘al dente’ for me but a good selection. Puds were beautiful - probably the best cheesecake I have ever tasted. Service was spot on - very friendly and relaxed. Mum and I are slow eaters and we were never rushed to finish our meal. Will definitely be back - the rest of the menu looks promising too.

Great service & lovely food! We just showed up and the staff were happy to squeeze us in even though it was busy. We tried the battered cod and steak & ale pie, both of which were great

DISGUSTED. I had what should of been a Lamb Henry. It came with no juices or stock of mint. It was bone dry the outer was so dry you could not cut it with your knife. Our guests had the steak pie, which they said was good, but the chips were brown and disgusting. Like they had been cooked in dirty oil. We have been coming to Belle Vue for 2/3 years. This is the first time we have been served such a disgusting meal. If we had not been with guests, the whole order would have been sent back. Our dogs enjoyed their supper though. We will give the pub a miss in future

Went for Sunday lunch. We wanted to have a nice festive turkey roast. The food was just ok. The place was cold. Hardly any Christmas decorations. The carrots, green beans and parsnips were obviously frozen. Turkey was tasteless. Service not great Definitely not worth £15.95 for a roast

Booked at the last minute. Really lovely decor, friendly staff, good music and amazing food. Amazing isn't a good enough descriptor though. Really good portions, fresh food and good quality. Highly recommended plus dog

We decide to try Belle Vue for a last minute Sunday roast, rang up to make sure they could accommodate us, was greeted by a friendly member of staff that happily fit us in. On arriving at the the pub the food smelled amazing it was clearly busy but staff took the time to greet us and show us to our table. On the arrival of our roast beef dinners the beef literally melted in the mouth with proper roast potatoes, gorgeous silky mash, a mammoth Yorkshire pudding and generous side dish of cauliflower cheese, carrots, peas and green beans. The waiting on staff where very attentive making sure we were happy with our food and that we had our drinks refreshed nothing was too much for the team. Looking forward to returning to sample the rest of the menu soon.
Lovely Sunday roast lunch, 3 of us all had different roasts beef, lamb and turkey, all very tender and tasty, great Yorkshire puddings and good veg, friendly staff and food was served nice and quickly

Fantastic stop off for Sunday lunch. We hadn’t booked but were made very welcome by friendly staff. Table service was well managed and attentive. Hearty & plentiful Sunday roasts full of flavour. Both the pork and beef tender and well presented. All in all highly recommended.
