The best place for a meal in Cockermouth. Quality, tasty, fresh, homemade, good selection, and such good value. The milkshakes are delicious. The coffee and hot chocolate could be better. The staff are polite and attentive and the cook is skilled and efficient. My dog is allowed inside. Love Lanes café.

Had breakfast here, freshly cooked and tasty. Guinuinely friendly staff, with a relaxed vibe. The cafe have a great scheme where you can buy a meal for a vulnerable person for a fiver. If you need a meal but have no money they will help

went in got a table. it was a cold day and we wanted something warm. we both chose off the breakfast menu. A BREAKFAST ROLL AND A FULL ENGLISH. the cooked breakfast looked very nice and my daughter ate it all. i had a sausage sandwich. the dausage was not very nice. taste like a vegi sausage so i wasn't impressed. i got a huge pot of tea that was very nice. it was also freesing inside they had the door propped open and no heating on. so i sat with my coat on. when we came out we agreed next time we will go to the normal cafe we visit ,we will get quality and fast service.

Found this place by sheer dumb luck and what a surprise it was. From the moment you enter the staff are friendly and welcoming. The place was spotless and homely. I ordered the mega breakfast, chips and black coffee. The food was cooked to perfection and of a really good quality. The portions were way bigger than I imagined ( see photo ) cannot fault any part of the dining experience. Found by accident but will be visiting regularly from now on. Highly recommend a visit or 3
