We called tlthe hound inn @ 11pm after getting stuck in a snow drift in the area. Caroline the barmaid called us back and welcomed us to the pub. We met the owner Pete and he was hilarious. Gave us endless chat and entertainment for the evening. Wonderful local friendly bub highly recommended

Just popped in for a pint, was a lovely old fashioned pub with a good choice of drinks and a friendly landlord and locals. Will definitely be back for another drink and possibly Sunday lunch.

Been years since i was in the Jerry. The pubs name in the locality. My dad helped his friend out in the 80s behind the bar The food was outstanding and didn’t break the bank.. can’t understand why it wasn’t-packed out.. but i like it quiet One of the best Sunday lunches I’ve had in years It won’t be long till I’m back and I’ll be recommending to all my friends. 10/10
Fabulous food and generous portions, lovely fresh veg and staff were really nice and accommodating, dog friendly and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. Don't know why we have never been before! Definitely not a place to miss. We'll be trying the pies next as they looked amazing and huge! Take away is also an option.

Genuinely one of the best pubs we have had the pleasure of visiting in a long time. We have a dog who can be reactive to strangers. The owner (and locals in the pub) took time to make our dog feel safe.We got pished and our dog had the best time - treats galore! Cant wait to come back!
