A good meal at a reasonable price. Unfortunately not much vegetarian food, unless you like curry or something in pastryVegetarian options: Not a great choice if you don't like curry or pastry.

We had lunch here on new year's Eve and the sandwich was excellent. The service was great and the ambience was good.Vegetarian options: Our veggie sandwich was delicious.

Excellent meal here today. Enormous portions and huge variety on the menu. Staff were very welcoming and attentive. We were in the bar area. Cozy and comfortable without the buzz of the restaurant.

I was part of the staff at the end of December 1973, French, saved by the boss at the time. Eternal thanks. Michel Couderc

Food was lovely cod was lovely and partner enjoyed the Sausage and mash. Beer was lovely and clean. There was a old car show on in car park which was a good and unexpected touch. Would recommend

Excellent hotel with the warmest and most helpful staff possible. I have use this hotel regularly over 20 years and while it has always been good the current owners are pushing it to the next level imo. It is located in a beautiful setting on the edge of the Lake District National Park

Really nice service. Food excellent quality and standard, however the portion size is large. Definitely worth booking a table, however you can just turn up. Definitely will return.

Thought we would see for ourselves as we'd heard it was good. Not disappointed, only thing was we had to eat in the bar on a very small table low down which made eating uncomfortable. We will definitely go again it was really good.

Went here for a beer. Quite a smart pub/restaurant. Toilets could be cleaned better however.

We had one of the best meals we have had out for a while. Lovely fresh ingredients cooked to order. Great service in bar and restaurant. Well kept pint of real bitter.
