Only went in for a few drinks with several mates to check it out. Impressed with the various spaces / areas to sit and chat or eat if that's what you want. Good choice of drinks available with friendly staff, table service is available when the place isn't too busy.

Booked for a meal this evening at 18.00 , thought choice of menu strange, but choose Tannery sharing platter and it was really good, especially the homemade scotch egg to die for.Really nice room below to dine in and good offer so much more in evenings.

This place is popular with locals too go for a drink, they serve cocktails (plenty of choice) beer and wines. You can also get snack food such as cold meats/ olives a bit like tapas. There may be more food but of an evening that's all we have tried. It gets very busy on weekends but has a lovely vibe to it. Staff are always friendly and it's always clean.

What a fantastic place to go for lunch or even a just little drink. The staff were warm and welcoming , so polite and helpful when we came with our new born baby and dog. Particular mention needs to go to Duty manager Rachel who could not be more pleasent and friendly. Great food, lovely atmosphere and and a great choice of drinks too. What more could you want!

What a fantastic experience and food. I sent a booking enquiry for a table for two and unfortunately the reply saying they were booked up on the Saturday night went into my spam folder. We turned up and every effort was made to find us a table. If I could give the restaurant staff 10 stars I would. The meat and cheese platter was delicious and there was no long wait even after they squeezed us in. This has always been one of our favourite bars in kendal so we were so pleased to get the treatment we had. 10 out of 10!!

I visited 19 with my husband and 18-month old daughter on a very snowy Sunday and it was the perfect refuge from the cold. The decor, especially for Christmas, was lovely, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. They had baby change facilities. My daughter was quite content as she had a lovely long nap while we enjoyed some drinks and nachos!

Next Door @ 19 wine bar is fantastic! Really lovely surroundings, atmosphere and friendly staff. Lots of lovely choices on the menu for drinks and food. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and food was excellent. We were just passing through but if we lived nearer this would definitely be our regular place to go. If we are in the area again we will definitely return.

Had a late lunch at 19 The Wine Bar today which was excellent. They have now extended I the lower level naming it Next Door. This a fantastic addition and the decor is very interesting and eclectic. The atmosphere is warm and very inviting. Well worth a visit.

Just discovered this lovely place and it will be our go to place from now on.Lovely spot and has some outside seating.Edit !!!Unfortunately this evening we visited and ordered a bottle of wine and a sharing board which was lovely. Friends who had had a few more drinks joined our table, they where quiet , respectful though a bit tipsy .They where then for no apparent reason refused drinks as we where , to my humility ?Never felt so much humiliation, I own a business and a license.The bar maid told my husband our table could have no more, ww hadn't even finished our wine ?Our friends finished there drinks and left but we felt to uncomfortable to order again so left shortly after ( not even tipsy btw.)The table opposite had 4 young males, clearly drunk, who where buying shots etc and enjoying the evening, very loud etc.. This apparently was not an issue.The table in the corner had 3 bottles of wine, multiple drinks and then shots, very loud and also having a great time This was also OK.Very disappointed. The young girl needs to have some appropriate training as she will only damage a business by not reading the situation properlyWe did visit Friday and had a lovely eveningSuch a shame it is now tarnished.
