Every year we embark on a golf trip towards the end of Summer. We've been to Scotland and Wales in recent years. However, I think we've found our perfect location. A great course, pristine accommodation, a lovely bar, hearty breakfast and amazing staff. You don't even need to be a golfer to appreciate the hospitality and views at Carus Green. Bob by and have a drink on the balcony or a snack lunch. You'll understand what I mean as soon as you arrive. Many thanks to Lisa and the team - a wonderful couple of days.

Carus Green has always been excellent for a couples lunch (service efficient and friendly, good selection food and value for money) and has exceptional access for the disabled in a wheelchair (lift, loo, wide corridors and nicely spaced tables). The staff were remarkable in the care and attention they gave my husband, formerly a golfer at the club, in the last year of his life. The family chose Carus for the wake so this a slightly different review from the norm. Guests arrived 30 minutes early but Carus staff were ready! The food just hit the right spot - variety of sandwiches catering for meat eaters and vegetarians, brown and white bread choices with selection of homemade cakes. Tea and coffee were self service- the staff were busy with the free bar! The family’s guests enjoyed the afternoon- entirely suited to my late husband’s personality. Thank you Carus Green you did him proud. Message is think about Carus for those slightly different celebrations.

Accommodation was great, we stayed 2 nights, views over the 1st tee. Played in open: £30 each to enter we came 1st Prize £40 - wow!! Clearly unhappy that visitors won as very unhelpful, advising we can only use vouchers in their shop, over 100 miles each way to get balls! The pro / assistant let a group of 4 tee off at 10.58 when the comp started at 11am; clearly not golfers as 4-5 to get to green on par 3! When asked twice, staff in shop were going to sort it but never did, by the 2nd hole there were 3 groups on the hole. Personally think the shop staff let the venue down.

Played here in an Open competition in August 2023. Course was in excellent condition despite some recent heavy rains. A reasonable test, with water definitely in play for the errant driver. Superb clubhouse with great changing facilities and bar serving numerous beers and some tasty meals.

My wife and I went to have a game today as she has played here before and raved about it. Now I know why……from the pro shop to the bar staff and facilities and not to mention the impeccable course which is maintained to a VERY High standard. I will certainly be coming back and bringing some friends too?️♂️?️♂️????

This was our 32nd annual golf tour and Carus Green was a perfect place to go.The course was in great condition and an enjoyable challenge for all handicaps. We particularly loved the 16th!The townhouses are palatial for a golf tour and for those in our group who chose to self cater, the facilities were perfect for cooking breakfasts and preparing lunches. Food in the clubhouse went down well too!The communication and organisational process was spot on, thanks to the wonderful help of Shelley and Lisa, thanks also to Shaun in the pro shop too!A cracking destination for a golf tour!

This is the perfect place for a golfers getaway. Me and a friend had 2nights there the rooms were clean and nicely decorated . The food was brilliant and the selection of foid and drinks hit the spot. The golf course was in really amazing condition the greens were the best I had been on for a long time . The high light was the 18th hole , I just had to go for the green but ended up in the pond . All in all a great place for any golfers outings .

Went with 6 of my mates stayed in penthouse, great view of 1st tee and 18th green . Room was clean and facilities fantastic . All the staff where very friendly. Special mention to Jack in the club shop and Lisa in the office who made the weekend so great for us all. The course was brilliant too, played it the 3 days we where there . Will definitely be going back next year. Robbie

Just getting into golf again after many years away. Went into CG today for a club fitting with one of the Pro’s, Adam. I have to say it was one of the most rewarding 30 minutes that I’ve spent playing golf so far. Being fairly tall he worked out that I needed a slightly longer club and a degree more upright. But the best bit was seeing an instant improvement in the consistency and direction of my shots. The difference was nothing short of miraculous. I can’t wait to see what clubs he finds for me. I would thoroughly recommend CG, and particularly Adam for a first class service. Keep it up Carus Green.

The course has improved over the years and is a good test. Greens quick and tricky. Plenty of water to avoid!Clubhouse provides decent food and drink.Staff very friendly and efficient.Walkability: Flat golf course.

A party of 17 stayed in the 3 townhouses they have there. We go every year and do the same. Excellent location and facilities are great for all our needs. We only had 1 meal in the golf club on the Thursday night but we also had a few drinks the night before. The standout member of staff during our stay was Shannon behind the bar who was there for both our nights in the bar and restaurant. She was so nice and welcoming. Such an asset she is to Carus Green.
