Been here many times for lunch. Never had a bad meal. I usually go for the breakfast burger which is a normal burger with added sausage patty, bacon and fried egg. Come with fries and a salad. The burger is clearly either freshly made or comes from a proper butchers. Nice and juicy. Egg is usually runny and goes well with the burger. The sausage is clearly decent quality too. As good as a sausage can be. Bacon is bog standard. Nothing special but goes well on the meal. The fries are frozen but nice and crispy. I love them. They also give you a pot of their homemade mayo which has onions in it and is amazing. Really nice with the fries.I would definitely recommend this place. My partner always gets the fish and chips which is frozen fish but for the price and the service it is worth it. They also have a selection of homemade cakes and slicesStaff are lovely.

Dropped in for a later lunch, we had haggis potato cakes and Welsh rarebit. When it arrived we were a bit worried we would be over faced but enjoyed every last scrap. Delicious, great coffee. Lots of smaller rooms to sit in and space outside, make sure you explore if it’s busy as there are plenty of places to sit.

Looked a bit scruffy at the end of the street. Why you should never judge, good options from breakfasts, rarebit, liver and onions, salads and soup of the day. As well as great cakes and great goregous staff. Gem at the end of the street.

Lovely cafe. We visited this week on holiday with our toddler and the staff were exceptionally friendly and very accommodating - entertainment bag, child’s cutlery and drink bottles etc. Sadly our little one was rather poorly so we had to cut the visit short and run, but if we were local we’d definitely be regular

Always lovely well cooked and presented food. Excellent menu that offers a choice depending on your mood! Plenty of tables and space. The garden area is pleasant on a nice day. The staff are always pleasant and very reasonably priced as well!

Historical building , v ery nice cafe, lots of home made cakes and bakes . Specials each day . I had the breakfast muffin , very tasty . Plenty of space inside , I think it is very popular for mothers with push chairs as there is plenty of room . We sat in the garden seating area. Will defiantly go again

I've given it 4 stars as the family said the food was nice but is expensive. And the way they describe the food. Just say what it is, no need to try and big it up.But I think that all this is down to the area more than the premises.

Lovely family run and owned cafeCheerful and welcoming
The burgers were amazing, staff were lovely and the kids meal was good value and they used proper ham too in the kids sandwiches and not just cheap ham! The only suggestion I'd make though would be to make their own skin on fries to go with the burgers as the cheap frozen fries are the only thing that let it down slightly. I'd definitely go back again though because it was still a lovely meal.
