Called here on the way back from The Safari Zoo with family. 3 of us had the roast Sunday dinner. It was filling with a good amount of meat but was served with unusual veg! - over cooked asparagus, baby corn and undercooked carrots. Just a strange combination for a Sunday dinner. Mashed potato was good. The burger and the kids meals wete good as was the service.

Overall a very nice experience where our dog was made very welcome. The Rooms were comfortable. The Breakfast Omlettes are to die for. The full English breakfast was nice tooStaff were overall very friendly, access to the residential side was very good so we could take the dog out as requiredIf travelling in the Lakes I'd reccomend this place for a stop over

We have stayed at the gilpin bridge inn for a week. What a fabulous place... Exceptional food and staff. We visited all the sites and came home each evening for tea. Great choices for tea, all yummy.Highly recommend and will definitely be back again. Thank you to Claire, Scott and Jordan who were brilliant... And spoilt us all week. ?

Called in for a meal on our way home from a trip to the Yorkshire Dale's. Have visited here a few times and have never been disappointed. Debbie and her staff are always friendly, polite, efficient & helpful. Always welcoming ?. Service is great, nothing is too much trouble. Love the location as its just off the main road but far enough away for it not to be a problem. Can't comment on the rooms as we have never stayed over, but if they're anything like the rest of the hotel, then I'm sure they'll be perfect.Food & drinks: On this night we called, they had just started their valentines menu. Tables were laid out beautifully. Each with a candle and fresh flowers. Debbie gave us our menus and let us ponder for a while to decide on our meal. Unfortunately we didn't take any pictures of our food, but wish we had. Our starter was the sharing combo. Delicious ?. Mains...I can't recommend the fish pie enough. Was delicious. Partner had the chicken. No complaints from him either. All food was so fresh & hot. Can't recommend the Gilpin Bridge Inn enough in all aspects. Maybe one day if im lucky we'll stay over and sample a breakfast

Sunday lunch with family at a pub belonging to the "Robinson's " chain based in Stockport. Food was lovely but the mashed potatoes and carrots could of done with being hotter. Good service and ale.

Very good all round place to stay. The evening meal we had, “Cock and Bull”, was fantastic, as was the breakfast. All the staff were lovely. Thoroughly recommend, will book again when I’m next in the area.

Booked to stay here at the last minute and so glad we did, what a fabulous place. Lovely room, friendly staff and really tasty food. And to top it all, they helped to rescue a gorgeous little stray cat who wanted to adopt the Inn as her home (we named her Twiglet!) ? would highly recommend and would definitely stop there againRooms: Lovely big comfy bed, excellent choice of tea & coffee, clean and nice local decor, big ensuite with bath and showerNearby activities: We stayed there as we'd visited the Predator Experience just a few miles away, which is fantastic if you fancy a wild adventure walking with wolves (booking required), and also Foulshaw Moss Nature Reserve is just a mile down the road, great for birdwatching.
