Nice place and friendly staff. Tried 4 paddles of different drinks and thought only a couple were worthy, celtic marches cider and lakeland lager ok. Red and bitter were ok but not as nice this time as 8 months ago for some reason, i suppose tastes vary day to day.The guest pulp raspberry cider is defo worth a try though.Food is well priced and looks great quality too. Loads of space set over 2 floors aswell as outdoor seating. All in all a great place to go, give it a try.

Great small scale brewery with a homely feel. The tanks are visible from the bar with an excellent selection of beers to sample. Great staff, dog friendly. Perfect for anyone anytime

Visiting for the third time as Boothroyd has only heard good things about it. Only a short bus ride on the 555 from Windermere Station. Home of the brewery with a grest barn like pub. Quiet on a January Thursday. Booth had a choice of 9 real ales out of 10 handoumps. Lots of fizzy beers for those none real ale drinkers. They have a simple food menu from 12 - 4, a good bottle shop for off sales and some outdoor seating in the front yard. Booth had a lovely £4, 3.4% bitter to start the day. Good number of session beers. Well worth finding but card only..I usually knock a star off for that so this is a ***** out of ******! Accessible toilet.

THE best sunday roast here. So much so we travelled 60 miles to have it ?

The taranaki beer is sublime loved it, the Sunday roast was absolutely amazing, felt obliged to tell the chef how good it was. It would be criminal, not to tell him, how good it was, and how we'll make the 1.5 hour journey to sample again. What a find, ???

Excellent range of beers. Good prices. Had toasted sandwiches for lunch which were delicious. Been a couple of times now and it's always great.

Fantastic craft beers probably 10 brewed on site. Nice nibbly foods to go with them too. Definitely worth a visit if in the Lakes area. 10/10

The best roast dinner out since being gluten intolerant. The gravy was delicious, fresh vegetables, roast beef was cooked to perfection. Gluten free beers available. We will definitely be coming again.
We popped in for a drink while out for a walk and as we’d been here before we expected a nice beer and we weren’t disappointed. I had a soft drink as I was driving later that day and it was lovely and refreshing.

Have always enjoyed visiting this place, first time on a solo visit but no worries - lots of staff to talk to and question them about the brews. Tried 3 of the newer brews, two of which had just come on. Also had the ham & cheese toastie - fantastic value and tastes so good despite the lengthy wait for service.

Well worth a stop off, this small brewery with interesting back story has a wide selection of beers on tap, friendly, efficient service and indoor/outdoor seating. Had a pint of best, perfectly conditioned, and very tasty pork pie en route to Ambleside. Pretty village with further interest via local shops make this a good place to wander for a bit, too. Can get busy and parking is tight, so recommend getting there early.

Would have had a higher rating but having travelled 2hrs to find out they don't take cash is a bit much could they state on website this fact to prevent disappointment

Couldn't give 5 stars as the lack of the ability to pay by cash spoilt the day. The large queue at the bar 20 minutes to get served and this wasn't an isolated incident. The staff did great and the place was busy but come on no cash card only and we travelled from stoke on trent. How about something on your website saying its card only if it is there I haven't seen it.
