Pappy's is an oasis in the flavor desert of north west of England. The food was spectacular, and the service was great. If you want genuine Texas style barbecue that is succulent and delicious I highly recommend Pappy's! The Margaritas were also on point! It is totally worth the drive from Barrow-in-Furness or any of the closer towns. The only downside is the dinning room is small, so you should have a booking before you make the drive. I will certainly be eating here again!

Visited Pappy's for the first time today alongside a few friends. We opted for the sharing platter and also tasted a selection of tequilas. The food was outstanding, complemented by top-notch service and extremely welcoming staff. It easily surpasses the standard Texas BBQ-themed chain restaurants normally encountered. 10/10

My partner and I had an absolutely fantastic experience here, even though they were really busy and we didn't have a booking they managed to squeeze us in.The lady was super helpful in letting us know what was available and what wasn't.The portions were more than enough, incredibly tasty and super filling.Very reasonably priced and will definitely be visiting next time.

Where do I start with Pappy’s Texas BBQ? I’ve had many takeaways from them, had most of the items on the menu and every single time it’s been fantastic. Last night I went there to dine in for my first time and unsurprisingly it was fantastic. They produce authentic Texas BBQ food, cooked low n slow and smoked to perfection. The flavours are out of this world. The lovely people who work there add to the experience. Really friendly and welcoming and with a family feel to it. There is a third way to enjoy their delightful food, Pappy’s At Home, order from the website and they ship it to you. So whether you’re in Carstairs, Kendal, Cardiff or Cowes you can enjoy real Texas BBQ. I stocked up for Christmas and it was the best of my Christmas food by far. I’ve attached photos from last night.

Spot on! Literally best place to get food in kendal recommend going as 2 or more the tacos you will have to share as there really filling but there amazing and such friendly staff

Visited twice now and both times we were very disappointed. Tried various dishes. Meat was dry, tasteless and fatty. Macaroni cheese is watery and tasteless. Chips are limp. Portions are big but not quality. Prices are high.

Best food I’ve eaten anywhere for a while. Staff were lovely, great value for money will definitely be returning.
After nearly an hour food arrived cold they sent back, food returned and “WOW” the coleslaw was warmer than the food even though they said it had been replaced hmmmm B******t still had the same food !!! On the bright side we know where an hour of time was wasted ???

We stumbled across this place whilst wandering round on a Saturday evening. We hadn’t booked but the staff managed to find us a table quickly. The service was fab and the staff were so friendly. Food was delicious and good sized portions! Would definitely return!
