Stayed over the New Year period for 2 nites, hotel & location were excellent, the only issue was the adjacent Wakefield restaurant.first night we booked a meal deal and all very good food/service, so booked meal deal the next night (New Years Eve), reception took our booking and we were directed to restaurant.Waited 20mins before anyone acknowledged we were there, staff member was serving food then progressed to chat dinner about her life all the time we were waiting (first at food area then secondly at bar)eventually after 30+ mins a very rude/obnoxious staff member arrived - "have you booked?" i replied no, then its a 20+ minutes wait for table & 20+mins wait for table - place was empty and it was only 4.45pm , i said we had just bought meal deal and reception directed us here. Response was "should have booked, run off our feet and fully booked". i laughed and said we had waited over 40mins to be told this and place is empty? Fukin joke, went back to reception and was asked for refund - we were offered a table but felt we had been mistreated enough & spoken too most obnoxiously.have visited many Premier Inns over the past 20yrs & this was the worst experience ever....not all like this but had to comment this time

Nice rooms, unfortunately not clean. The chair had remains of a pasty on it. Towel had brown stain on it. WiFi is terrible. Hardly works, keeps signing out. Also, who in there right mind is going to pay for super fast when it should be included.

Comfy room, as is the norm for Premier Inn (it's become our go to) though parking was limited, I had to park a 10 minute walk away, and be up in time to rush there to relocate before 9am the next morning.

Well located, tucked away but central. The car park is a little small, so get there as early as possible.Nearby activities: Went to the Whisky Festival, good night out!

Not much to say to be honest it was everything I needed. Clean and warm room, comfy bed and a good breakfast after a night of drinking (at the whiskey festival). 12 pm check out was also really nice that way we didn't have rush out when leaving.

The rooms are looking a little worn and the furniture is not good. For example the chair for the desk is totally inappropriate. The bed however was the usual high quality.

the room was amazing, however the heating wasn't working and wasn't told of this before hand but there was a portable heater in the room which was more than adequate there was a restaurant joined at the side with a great deal of £25 each for a 2 course meal and drink and all you can eat breakfast and it was very good, will definitely book again

Quiet area with a restaurant on site. The room had AC only one night and no heat. Management said they were experiencing issues with electrical system. They gave us a faam which was very helpful but no vending machines were working after the first night so no bottled water or snacks. Clean towels, toiletries provided on request. Didn't try the shampoo but hand soap was fine. Quiet room parking available. Short walk to the Bristly Hog for fresh apple pie and hot cappuccino.Enjoyed walking through Kendal and shopping was very good!

Our room wasn't ready for us , but we had time for a walk around the local part of kendal where we were. Unfortunately our time was quite precious we had dinner ? booked for 1730hrs in the ye old fleece and then of to a comedy night..couldn't be late for that!!The premier Inn, our room was their premium room and was to a good clean standard also we did per book breakfast so easy and saved so much time overall it was good ?Walkability: Very close to all the shops and amenities

We have stopped at alot of premier inns. This one the room and quality of the room was excellent clean and modernised. The down side was the connecting restaurant was table table. The staff in the evening for a drink were scruffy and not very noligabil on bar service. The worst part was at breakfast. We came down to breakfast at nine to find nearly every table dirty and the food area to be utter carnage no food and crumbs everywhere. The manager on call gave the excuse of no staff and there was nothing she could do. We got a refund for our breakfast. But to be quite honest holidays are so precious that's if premier is going to treat its quests to half a break and not the full experience then I think it's time to seek alternative accomadation.

This is a typical Premier Inn, in a good location. The only reason I downgraded the room was that the air conditioning had a fault, and you can't open a window..... combined with the fact that I had just ridden from Kent in torrential rain, and a room filled with soaked motorcycle gear ect. made it extremely uncomfortable.... I mentioned this to the reception in the morning, however, nothing happened, however, I was given a fan at 22:00 hours the following evening..... the staff were excellent, and the attached restaurant is typical "Pub Grub".... I would use this again, however, if the A/C doesn't work, refuse the room...??Rooms: This is a typical Premier Inn, in a good location.
