Went for Christmas dinner with the family.Absolutely brilliant from start to finish.The staff were very helpful and happy.The food was well presented, excellent portions, and the meat was cooked to perfection.I would definitely recommend this pub/restaurant to anyone.

The food was awful. Soup was lukewarm, main - I've had better ready meals, dessert was supposed to be black cherry compote and was frozen fruit - disgusting! Jade served us and was lovely

On booking no-one informed my daughter that it was Festive Menu only. Fondue starter was completely tasteless, patè was extremely small and unappetising. Fish main option choice was unavailable, everything was dry from being either reheated or left too long under heat lamp. Xmas pudding desert was disgusting, 2 mouthfuls and brandy sauce synthetic and tasteless.Parking: Used on street parking.

Went for a late lunch early dinner. Got us a table straight away, got my nearly 3 year old some colouring activitie pages. Hazel and rose were really lovely with helping us as we did get confused with all the offers on at the moment and made sure our food was all ok, would go back

I've dined in here a number of evenings and the food is value for money but what makes the experience is the staff who just can't do enough for you and always at hand. All staff are great but i have to give a special mention to Hazel and Rose who have served me a number of times and have been fantastic and a credit to Wakefield arms

Cannot recommend this place enough. Just got home from Kendal. The snow was horrific but the staff and the bar manager were so accommodating to everybody. Lovely people and so friendly. What a weekend. Didn't enjoy shoveling the snow this morning. Will definitely go back. Dave and

Eaten at a lot of brewers fayre / whitbread / table table venues, and this one done the best food by a solid length. Crispy chips, perfectly juicy burger, generously cheesed up nachos... and some awesome c9cktails to accompany. (I recommend the father Christmas :) )

Ate here Saturday evening. Unfortunately the wait on food was ridiculously long and definitely not worth the wait when it finally did arrive. The manager wasnt apologetic when we mentioned our long wait and to be honest we can't understand how things took so long when the restaurant was only half open. Wouldn't recommend and won't be returning

Cannot recommend this place enough. The staff and the bar manager were lovely and the food really good for pub food. With the heavy snow they were so accommodating and so friendly. The bar manager couldn't even get home and was still so professional and happy. We will definitely return. Thanks for a great couple of nights and the shovel for the snow. Excellent place

We had lunch off the £11.49 for 2 meals menu. Food was hot and a good portion size. 2 ladies who were working were very chatty and pleasant. Will definitely return soon.

Myself and my Husband stayed in the Premier Inn next door, we had Breakfast, and Dinner there and a few drinks in the evening Times, the staff are incredible!! Big shout out to Hazel, Rose, Jade and Chloe you made are time there amazing. Thank you for everything you are a credit to the Wakefield Arms table table and Premier Inn. Came with friends for a meal was shown to the table. Food was nice and tasty. Good choice of menu for food and drink. Staff all really friendly and chatty. The restaurant was nice and tidy. When we paid we got the names of the staff that served us Chloe and hazel. We will definitely come back.
