We used to go to Merienda pre COVID and we always liked their food and drinks, it has always been at the pricier end but now that we have been back to visit family, we popped in for breakfast with our kids. I am not happy to pay £3.45 for a babyccino!!! That's so expensive for warm milk. Sadly we won't go back.

This restaurant is not good at all for gluten free . The restaurant is very overpriced for dinner and the staff did not communicate very well with regards to my gluten free dinner . I would not recommend this restaurant and found much better restaurants in Keswick . Very disappointed with the quality of the meal . The person servicing wanted to charge us a supplement for my 12 year old granddaughters dinner. This was disappointing also , and cold floppy taco .. will not be returning

Been over a year since last in Keswick and we’re pleased to see Merienda still operating. Breakfast menu is that little bit different ( tasty corn bread) and set us up well for the day’s walking.

Me and my girlfriend went on our anniversary meal here and also ate here ago on the same day. I had the salmon special and she had the pulled pork burger, both delicious and I even got to try a lakes lager which was cold and zesty. We then had the sticky toffee pudding to share for dessert which was by far the best dessert I’ve had at a restaurant. It was quite a quiet night but it’s probably because it was a Sunday night. Overall lovely night with lovely food and a wonderful date.

Worst experienceResponse:We have travelled quiet alot and decided to take our lunch after seeing their menu outside and at this restaurant and they were not having and food from the menu u and they just had coffees and cake ,We had paid for the coffees. Infact Restaurants do not tell their customers only the ppl who are having food to sit and the rest to go out. While we were there, we had noticed that the restaurant was empty and infact the ppl sitting next to us were actually surprised with this attitude shown to us. We were very careful not to be loud and we had come to have a break and the attitude shown to us was very much upsetting. We do not have a problem wiith Lanie being a long serving manager, it’s just the attitude of customer service was very disappointing that we didn’t even finish our coffees and went out. Anyways we apologize if we were loud and caused your customers to leave.
Not great customer service provided by the staff at this restaurant. Went in during the lunch hour, but was told that only cake and coffee was available. When I came back in to see my friends inside the store, who had ordered coffee (hence they were paying customers), me and my brother were treated with a stern and unfriendly look by one of the staff members. As we realised we weren't welcomed there, I walked out to avoid any trouble or confrontation. I just wanted to see my friends and just have a quick check-in but that was seen as hostile. Definitely will not be coming back to the restaurant again.

The perfect spot for breakfast!The food was amazing and the service was quick and super friendly. The owner(?) was really lovely to talk to, had a big smile on her face and was very welcoming. We took some coffee beans home too! Will definitely be coming back.

Meriendas is a lovely place for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, or just a coffee and cake. The staff a warm and friendly. It gets very busy at times, but the staff are always professional and kind and take time to make sure everyone has what they need, especially Lanie. They are also great with the dogs and welcome them too.
