Best customer service from start to finish The staff at this venue are all super friendly and helpful. I had a problem with ordering on the app and they went the extra mile to help me. The food was quickly served and just the right temperature . The venue is stunning for a motorway services overlooking a lake with rolling hills in the background .

On the way back feom Scotland heading to Wales i pulled in for a break and something to eat. It was the usual Mackys but with a nice view. Food was what you would expect nothing outstanding. Whilst sitting eating, i noticed the staff at Costa coffee next door smile a lot more!

Got food poisoning from chicken. Really ill. Made complaint to M McDonald's. Tried calling branch at Killington Lake to make sure other people didn't get the bad food but no answer.

Went to McDonalds at Killington Lake Services for a breakfast. However, the woman deep-frying the hash browns seemed to be doing too much. she ran out of cooked hash browns and so had to deep fry some more, but this took several minutes. Burgers were just sat there waiting for hash browns. Surely, a system whereby when you have just six or eight hash browns left, you then out more into the fryer would mean no wait. My egg and cheese muffin was lukewarm when I came to eat it and my fast food wasn't fast. I was too rushed to complain, so thought I would review them here.

Called here on New Year's Eve out of necessity rather than choice but the kids always enjoy a McDonalds. A small but pleasant indoor seating area and I expect it has a good view of the lake but it was dark at the time. A drink was missing but easily rectified. The service was basic and the food was what you'd expect.

Beautifull scenery from the services, would definately drop in again

Firstly it's set in a service station that has one of the most beautiful back drops whilst your eating.Food was Luke warm, burgers looked like they are thrown together and then shaken around the box.Staff don't read the custom requests on burgers like no cheese or mustard and are stand offish when you go back to swap the burgers for a correct order. It's clean just needs to work on customer service.

Lovely outside area overlooking the lake, definitely worth a stop off

Poor 'service', staff were just, just, OK but it isn't Customer Service, food is just off, what seems like, a conveyor belt...Costa was little better but you do get to order from and be served, in part, by a person, a surly person but a person nonetheless. The common seating/tables felt like a 'feeding trough' and wasn't that clean either, the tidy-it-yourself is fine but the bins were full... I really don't mind the do-it-yourself cafe model but it isn't Customer Service and at over £20.00 for 2 teas, 2 sandwiches and 2 small plastic containers of water melon from the Costa outlet it isn't Value-For-Money.If it gets any less (can it?) of an enjoyable experience then it will be bring-your-own in future as there seems no point in this McDonald's/Costa at Killington Lake Services (M6 South).

OK, so the food tastes good, but the Grande Big Mac was a mess and looked thrown together, once reassembled to look like a big mac it tasted fine.Spicy Chicken Legend was the same but was just some chicken and a dribble of sauce, I've not had a chicken legend before but I'm sure there should have been at least some lettuce in there. Can't really get the Coke Zero wrong..Biggest disappointment was the large fries (see photo) this was it, none had fallen out in to the bag, just a half full carton, definitely not a large fries. Also please put a couple of napkins in the bag.

Beautiful venue with poor services. Thought I would try again with McDonalds, as I was staying at the Days Inn. These fast food outlets are all over the country like a rash. Their service is fast, their prices are reasonable, the food is poor in my opinion. Crispy chili chicken wrap? Dry as a bone. Hamburger? Soggy bun and tasteless filling, with 'pickles' consisting of one 1mm slice of gherkin 2mm square. Fries? Limp and lukewarm. The only decent bit was the ice cream. If you are travelling from the North of Scotland to the South and stopping off at Killington Lake, as roughly halfway, there is nowhere on site to get a decent meal.

Stopped for McDonald's at the services in storm Franklin, very wet and cold. Service was quick from the touch screens, food hot. Diet coke tasted wrong but we didn't complain. Lovely view whilst eating our lunch. Would visit again

One of the best McDonald's I have been to. Plenty of staff. Easy to order and pay. Food brought to our table. Most importantly the chips were crispy and hot! Well done and thank you. You don't know how disappointed I am when I get soggy lukewarm chips, yours were great and the rest of the food was good too. Crisp lettuce and pickles in the burger buns, hot and tasty chicken burgers and beef patties. You should be commended!
