Spent a while trawling through reviews for somewhere in town for a good Sunday lunch and as usual it wasn't an easy task, thankfully we picked Ring O Bells. The pub has a number of small rooms and we sat in the middle where the open fire is located, bit old fashioned, but warm, clean and comfortable. Very good and friendly service from the staff and they have a good selection of good priced ales and other usual suspects. Monday 28th August 2023This pub was visitedThis fantastic ale house not only served 6 excellent ales, but it also is an unspoilt gem with quaint little rooms and a serving take out hatch by the door still intactThe real ales on mostly beautiful ales from the lake District areasThe landlord keeps great ales friendly and local followingThe interiors is the atmospheric of the past centuaryAll in all, 10 out of 10 given to this place

Great local traditional pub. Friendly staff and fresh food.The portions are huge and the food is delicious. It’s cooked fresh there and then.Highly recommend for pub food in Kendal.
