Great place to vist for a weekend with the fiancé. Amazing breakfast with majority local produce! Considering the quality it is very reasonably priced.Rooms: Each room is decorated differently. They are reasonably sized and have comfy seating. All rooms are ensuite and thick luxurious tiwels are provided.Food & drinks: Sometimes homemade cakes or biscuits on arrival. Sizable breakfast with flexability for dietary requirements if you give them notice.

Lovely house run by Dino and his wife. Stunning gardens, great bedrooms and a breakfast to die for, especially the combination of porridge or fruit compote followed by one of the best English breakfasts I’ve ever had. Highly recommended and couldn’t fault a thing!

Very friendly. Beds are big and comfortable. Rooms are spacious, clean and well equipped. No skimping on facilities here. Breakfasts are always good with a wide range of options. Never had a problem parking outside either. The area is nice and quiet too so you can get a really good night's sleep. Only a 15 minute stroll into town for dinner so that's really easy too.Rooms: Comfortable, spacious, warm. Always spotless. Well equipped.Food & drinks: Breakfasts are excellent. Lots of options.

We stayed here in the king room with shower. Beautiful room - couldn't fault. Comfiest bed I have been in. Plenty room in bathroom. View from the window across Penrith and beyond. Good choice at breakfast and plenty to set you up for the day. Decide evening before what you want. Best porridge I have ever tasted - local porridge oats along with the excellent cooking of them made all the difference, full cooked breakfast is delicious and again local produce used. Hosts were so friendly and welcoming. All in all a delightful place to stay - so glad we found this gem. Would not hesitate to come back again and again.

Sarah and Dino made us very welcome for our overnight stay. The rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious, and we were treated to a lovely breakfast in morning.
My husband and I recently stayed at Bank House in the room with an ensuite bath - a beautiful room. Our hosts were welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was outstanding with locally sourced produce. We are non-drivers and found Penrith a good base from which to explore the area. There are regular trains and bus services seemed good, including a service to Pooley Bridge, from where we were able to travel by steamer around Ullswater Lake. Penrith has some great independent shops and we enjoyed a drink in the Fell Bar (which has received CAMRA awards). We can highly recommend Bank House.

Bed and breakfast done properly! I couldn't praise Bank House b&b enough. A truly beautiful house, with gorgeous garden, set on a quiet road in Penrith, just a few minutes walk from the centre. We stayed in the king sized room which boasts a magnificent hand painted floral mural behind the king sized four poster bed. We were very comfortable and I personally loved that there was a hot water bottle (just in case). Fantastic friendly, helpful hosts who are a joy to speak with. And the breakfast!! Everything locally sourced and/or produced, it was absolutely delicious and we didn't need to eat for the rest of the day haha. The Bank House b&b is a real gem and a must stay if you're in Penrith.
