If you're in Penrith, make sure to stop by Daffodils! It's a great independent coffee house, with a great selection of freshly made cakes and hot food! They can cater for gluten free too! Staff were very helpful and was a good atmosphere.Toilets are upstairs.

Gorgeous little cafe tucked away in Penrith church yard.I brought my American friend here and she loved it! The young lady serving us was friendly and welcoming and the food was great! They also allow dogs which I though was really nice.

Best scones ever! Stopped for coffee, looked a bit ‘tired’ on the outside, inside was very oldie worldie. The coffee was really good and I had the best scone ever, massive, light, warm and plenty of fruit with a huge amount of cream and jam. Definitely would recommend for coffee and the lunches looked good too.

Just had one of the largest Christmas lunches I have ever had including a very large Yorkshire pudding. Very tasty it was too. Never had a bad meal there. Lovely home made cakes and scones and a roaring fire. What's not to love.

Exactly the kind of warm welcome, big portions and good prices that you want when you're working away from home

This coffee house does nice coffee and THE most amazing quiche. I know one gets fed up of quiche, it is on almost every menu and sometimes they are just tasteless and generally not worth eating. The quiche in this coffee house is on another level. Finally some taste ! It is full of flavour as it is home made, they give a generous portion and the quiche itself is already deep. The price was good too and I felt that I had paid a fair price for a really lovely meal. There was of course other things on the plate such as salad - it was all lovely. I would not recommend sitting by the door as it can be draughty. It has a cosy atmosphere.
