We ate at hucks last night the food was absolutely delicious the burnt ends and mac n cheese with brisket were beautiful we had a issue with one of our meals coming out late but was quickly resolved by our waitress 'jess' who can I just say was very attentive and good at her job credit to hucks @whinfell she sorted everything out for us I'd recommend this place to visit with family.

Fantastic staff very friendly. Food was brilliant and not a long wait.

Service was friendly, table was very dim with cold white led lighting. Food was poor, supermarket style cheap gelatinous burgers. Our most expensive and disappointing meal at Center Parcs Whinfell .

Absolute brilliant - fast service and nice food, had the chilli bowl, really well presented and a cool idea. Pretty busy in school holiday, but they made it work.Vegetarian options: Veg options for most starters, and a good meat free menu, from what I could see.

This place has so much potential but the food was just not good. For the prices charged it was bland, salty & cold. Took about an hour to come too.

Only downside with Hucks is that the portions could be bigger for the prices.Apart from that the staff are friendly and helpful. Decent menu choicesFood is goodDrinks sometimes take a little while upon opening but that was once out of my three visits.Well worth a visit

Arrived on our first night at center oars after a long drive . Had Booked at 19.45 to eat early enough with 3 kids - and the food arrived at 21.00. When it did arrive they had got the kids meal order wrong. A disappointing start to the

Had a booking at 7.30pm 21 people last night waited ages for someone at attend to us then took our drinks order again waited ages then they took the food order again waited ages, got the food before the drinks asked the assistance could we pay separately he said it would be better to do it altogether as the food would come out at different time, so all theStarters came out separately anyway then all the mains came out separately so might has well all paid separately any way finally after 3 hours 10.30 we left very unhappy ?

I’ve read so many of the negative reviews on here and can’t understand. I’m assuming busier nights and pressure on both kitchen and waiting staff. However, we’ve just had the perfect burgers, and I’ve eaten a few across different burger establishments, and can say these were superb. I added jalapeños to mine but my 13yr old had them cheeseburger as it came and wolfed it down. Hats off Hucks - great service and lovely food. Pic of empty plate lol

Came to eat on the last night of our holiday as a last minute decision treat. We arrived early and we’re sat down quickly which was great! However, it took a while for someone to come over to take our order - we are quite understanding due to working in the hospitality industry ourselves. Drinks, again, took a while to arrive. Our starter was fine, no complaints. However, the amount we paid for our main meals was ridiculous considering what was on the plate. Very overpriced for what it is. We don’t mind spending the money if it’s worth it, which it very much wasn’t.Nobody came over to see how we were finding our meals, and our plates were sat on the table for at least 15 minutes after we had finished to the point my partner placed them on another table so we could have some space on our table for 2.The waitress had already printed out our bill as she assumed we wanted it, which was good as we didn’t have to wait, however felt as if we were being pushed out due to us being a later sitting. I can’t fault her - she seemed to be the only person doing anything, with a group of staff stood at the host and another group behind the booths chatting away.I wouldn’t recommend, you’d be better off making something at home for a fraction of the price.

Food was ok. Service beyond terrible. Fire alarm went off, waited outside in the rain for 20-30 mins. No discount off order for this. Food took too long to arrive due to back log from fire alarm (easy excuse for them?). After our daughter had a kids meal we asked for the ice cream (part of a kids meal/deal), and it took them 30 mins to bring a tiny one scoop bowl of ice cream. And then because it took the whole experience so long they asked us to move table as other people where arriving. Unbeliveable - we were aghast. We declined to move and left with our 3 year old holding her ice cream. If it wasn’t so long passed my daughters bed time (because of how long this took waiting) we would of complained but they take so long with everything it’s ridiculous and it’s very expensive / over priced.

Massively disappointed with our visit to hucks 4th September 8ishpm, our first night arriving 2 kids2 adults. Lady standing at the desk was lovely and seat us and that is when it went downhill server couldn't be found for 90% of the time we dined, drinks came after the starters, we asked to mains away our food quite quick as kids started getting tired. Our server appeard and said he was confused as someone told him we wanted our mains.. not sure what the confusion is. Then again no waiter in sight when we wanted the kids deserts. We had to chase for the simplest of things such as cutlery and more drinks. Food was average, finally came to the bill and this was the first type on conversation the waiter tried to have with us small talk.. beware service charge is included on the bill but also asks if you want to leave it on the card machine don't let it catch you out. We didn't notice until we left we wanted ours taken off.Genuinely upset as we went with such High hopes!Save yourself money and time go to the Lake side in, beautiful staff, beautiful view, beautiful food and great prices! They are friendly to kids and make you feel welcome.

Food was very expensive and not good. Bacon cheeseburger tasted plain.. had better at local pubs. Prices are ridiculously high for quality. Partner had a chicken burger and only ate the chips! For x2 meals and only one drink each was £40!!! Staff were okay but slow. Restaurant was hot with no AC. I wouldn't recommend and we certainly won't be back

Food was poor - American cheese on nachos, yuk! Onion with bbq burger was burnt. £50 for 1 adult and child!! Better food at McDonald’s. Won’t be returning to this particular CP restaurant.

After looking forward to Hucks I'm silently disappointed (hence still the good 3/5). Food was lovely. However, we wanted to enjoy a nice drink before food. Unfortunately we had to wait 31 mins for a drink to arrive. Just then food arrived at the same time. A full bottle of red left still. Service was great otherwise and the food was nice. Just a shame we didn't get to enjoy the wine.Kid-friendliness: Kids loved the drawing with the crayons.
