This was a really busy pub and it had a really nice atmosphere. Unfortunately, I think we were sat in the wrong place to get good customer service. We were put outside the kitchen. It took us a while to be served for anything and we kept having to ask for drinks and food. I think it’s because the staff all assumed we were being attended to with someone always walking past. We had a steak and ale pie and three fish and chips. The pie was nice, but the vegetables were nothing special, but the others said the fish and chips were really nice.

Been twice in a week for dinner.Excellent food (quality, portions size, price), good ales, nice ambience, very friendly helpful staff (special shout out for Immy).Only minor gripe is when dogs inside start barking it can get noisy.Loved the place.

We stayed one night here just after Christmas. It's a lovely building and the location is perfect. The room was lovely, clean and cosy, with modern bathroom. They also provide fresh milk for brews too, which is much better than the little plastic capsules. We had an evening meal here and breakfast too. The evening meal was very tasty, but I ordered two different red wines and I'm sure they were exactly the same. The breakfast was great!Rooms: Warm, cosy, well decorated. Modern bathroom.Food & drinks: Tasty evening meal and great breakfast choices.

I recently stayed overnight at this hotel and was thoroughly impressed. The hotel looks lovely with its old English style. Room was cozy, had its own unique character and very clean. The view of lush greenery from the room was a surprise. The USB charging ports in the rooms were a lifesaver, especially since I had forgotten my charging plug.Hotel’s restaurant is located downstairs. They serve well prepared food and drinks from the bar. During my visit, there was live music. The restaurant has seating both indoors and outdoors, making it ideal for events or parties. What stood out the most was the staff’s friendliness and attention to customer care. The breakfast staff, in particular, were prompt and provided excellent table service. Breakfast is available from 8 am to 9:30am.For guests driving in, the hotel provides free car parking, which adds to the convenience.Overall, this hotel is a fantastic choice for anyone visiting the area.

Popped in on Christmas eve with 7 adults and 2 children after an impromptu Yuletide walk around Aira force. The Inn was fully booked and we were offered a heated booth outside, before staff realised (due to the time we popped in) they could re arrange some seatings for a later booking which meant we could indeed sit inside. Which was fabulous as we had accepted the outside booth, inside was much better for our youngest child and meant we could all sit together. We had a designated server for the tables who was very polite, patient and helpful.Food came out extremely quickly (bearing in mind it was also Christmas eve and full to the brim with diners) Most of our table had the Sunday lunch and were rather full afterwards. Our disabled son was allowed to order off menu, Toast, which many places don't allow once breakfast is no longer served. Childrens deserts were a little slower to get to the table (as I say the Inn was extremely busy!!) They were scrumptious and worth the wait. The decor was lovely and festive. To conclude, a Lovely space, nice and warm, friendly staff, good food, speedy service, free parking! Well worth a visit.Huge thanks to the wonderful team for making our visit so pleasant. ?Nearby activities: Aira forceUllswater lakeUllswater steamersHorseridingKayakingShopsWalkability: Lots of good walks around.Food & drinks: Food was tasty. Lots of options for alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. My disabled son is fussy with his food, the server allowed him to order off menu. Maximus ordered Toast, he was asked if he would like jam and butter. (Some places won't allow the ordering of toast after breakfast serving is closed)

We had a superb lunch on New Years day. The inside was spacious but the tables were arranged to create a cosy and not crammed feel. The service was very good, despite every table bring occupied. The ample, friendly staff were very attentive and we felt well looked after. We were very impressed by the range of food on offer, three menus to choose from; the extensive standard, a specials and a pizza menu. Also chilrens meals in two sizes) available. I was particularly impressed by the choice of vegetarian options and can't recommend the mushroom Wellington enough. We all had a lovely meal and we will definitely be back.

Wow Wow Wow …… just visited the pooley bridge inn and myself my partner, mum and 2 young children were amazed. The staff in particular the young lady that greeted us and the “elf lady” were fantastic with my children and made us feel welcome from arriving to us leaving. The food was beautiful and the venue itself so was clean, cosy and warm. I do not write reviews EVER but I feel the staff and the food needed a shout out. Thank you for making our last night in the lakes unforgettable ….. we will be recommending to all family’s and friends visiting centreparcs in the coming months 20 out of 10 on everything guys thanks again the centreparcs family :)

We’ve eaten here every year for 30 years and loved it every time. Our waitress, Toni, was absolutely brilliant. Super helpful and lovely and when we had a small issue did everything she could to resolve it. Really appreciate her service!
