“Great meals prepared with great care. Service was extremely good and the atmosphere of this pub/restaurant was exceptional. For context, this review relates to a booking at 3:30 pm on a Tuesday. Delighted to see three tables and a regular at the bar at this early hour!

“Had a very enjoyable meal here for my daughter's birthday. The food was amazing and the staff were all friendly and keen to look after you. There was a double big table of people in at the same time as us, which made it a bit loud, and also, I could see they were struggling with service a bit. They did seat us later than we anticipated, and service took a while considering we had preordered. I am putting that down to the large group, but it wouldn't put me off going again. The main thing was my daughter had a great birthday meal and enjoyed every second.”

“Stayed at this lovely cosy Inn for one night when visiting our Daughter and Son-in-law who had acquired a static caravan in Bouth we took our little chihuahua along with us. Everything was excellent, clean beautiful en-suite facilities, spotless bedroom with Freeview TV, also a fan which as it was very warm came in handy and the best cooked breakfast we have ever had all in all a fantastic stay, as it is a small cosy Inn we were concerned as when we checked in there is only a small parking area at the front as shown on the website and it was full, there is room opposite along side the wall but we were concerned as farm tractors frequently use the lane, however when we returned at 8.30pm there were more bikes than cars so parked without a problem.”

“Sunday lunch today was lovely. Beef brisket roast dinner, meat plentiful and tender, good choice of veg and potatoes. Chocolate orange pudding was tasty and indulgent. Definitely the best place in Ulverston for Sunday lunch x”
