Lovely food, warm welcome. Friendly staff, gorgeous dog! Came here after a day out at Go Ape. If I am up this way again I would definitely return.

Really lovely pub, popular with the locals. Had great service food and beers. Kids meals are a bit pricey for what they were but guess it's a captive market. Would still go again though.Vegetarian options: Good options for veggie and vegans.Kid-friendliness: Kids enjoyed their meals but they're a bit on the pricey side really.

Just got back from a week staying in Satterthwaite and went to the pub most nights for a drink. Our dog Pero embarrassed himself but Bob the pub dog had a lot of fun with him.It was lovely to have a pub 2 minutes walk away and especially one that felt cozy. One note... They could make a fortune if they got some more quality scotch behind the bar, a lagavulin 16, Oban 14 or a Bowmore 15...

Cosy dog friendly country pub. Welcoming staff and attentive service. We all chose from the specials board, food was delicious and good portion sizes.

After a day in Grizedale Forest, we stopped off here for a Sunday Lunch. The fire was roaring and it was lovely and cozy. We all ordered Roast Dinners and although there was a bit of a wait, the food when it came was lovely and tasty and all freshly cooked. The Roast Beef was very tender and delicious. Would definitely recommend a call in for something to eat if you are in the area.

I had a steak pie which was absolutely delicious. There was a warm and friendly atmosphere in the pub, with some impromptu karaoke going on!

Perfect little pub with a lovely beer garden. Ideal after a day's walking, and very close to local campsites. Great beers, great pub food - EXCELLENT pie. Absolute must if you're in the area.Dog-friendly place too (and they have their own dog, Bob).Vegetarian options: There's a few veggie, vegan and gluten-free options too so everyone should be happy!

Great little spot close to Grizedale! Good local beers and although we didn’t eat, the tables around us food looked epic and lots of positive feedback was heard. Will be back next time I’m

They had their own Eagle ale on and it was the worst cloudy vinegar beer I had ever tasted this side if St Austell. It was an overpriced terrible pint. The place is a tip off. We were going to order food but after that horrid pint and the collie dog climbing on the chairs and licking everything we decided to leave an never ever return to get ripped off. It wetherspoons for us from now on. These little crap rip off pubs deserve to go bust

A cracking pub - good food, lovely ales and a stunning setting which can be enjoyed from the large beer garden. Would 100% recommend.

Visited on Thursday after a day walking in Grizedale. We had booked a table, but called to ask if we could bring it forward an hour, which they were happy to do. On arrival, we then asked if we could sit outside instead, as we were a bit worried our dog would disturb others at the next table. Staff were more than accommodating and were very friendly. We ordered two burgers and two lasagnes, which were all really delicious. Beautiful surroundings too. Would definitely visit again when back in the area.

Lovely village pub that seems to welcome tourists. Beer was good and wine also hit the mark. Only gripe was the prices were just on the top edge of acceptable £6 for medium wine. Food was good homemade fare tasty and fresh, but again £17 for a burger is quite steep. But I'll still rate the place as 5 stars.

Great pub in a sweet village. They have music sessions but we were too early on our visit. Quirky toilets, a friendly pub dog, and decent Guinness!
