Service very friendly, super fast, food excellent.Prices sort of upper end, but not extortionate.Excellent choice of beers and ales, including a stout, the name of which escapes me, but was excellent!

We had gammon and scampi the food was good. The staff were friendly, we did think it was a little on the pricey side for a pub, desserts were just under £8.00

We were looking for a nice local pub for lunch and the White Hart served it up in spades. Nice food excellent service lovely beer lots of parking and a roaring fire. Dog friendly, authentic and good WiFi… I can’t think of a negative ????

It was a spare of the moment thing, booked on booking. com the hotel/pub was very warm and welcoming. The food we had was good the room was lovely complete with exposed beams, the bed was very comfortable. My only sort of complaints were breakfast not being served until 8:30 am (which I think was a little late) and the bath was a little worn but they were miner compared to the rest of the stay and yes I would stay again.

Wonderful location and traditional Warm pub atmosphere.Given a very small table for 3 with plenty of empty tables in the room.Excellent baked Camembert starter.unfortanately the homemade burger was disappointing.Lacked flavour and had obviously been frozen. Overcooked served in cold untoasted buns......Shame no one asked how the food was on the night.....Perhaps the curry and quiz night was a distraction.

My wife and I stayed here last night…we’d just booked on speck as we had to be in Barrow the following day. We are so glad we did! What a find. Cracking country pub with excellent real ale, atmosphere, great food (we had an evening meal and breakfast which were excellent quality and value). And such friendly fantastic service. We would definitely recommend and will definitely be back later in the year! Thank you White Hart for your brilliant hospitality!Gerry and Lynn xx

A great pub with a handful of rooms. Included in the price of staying the night was free breakfast which was perfect for our travels into the Lake District! Lovely views here. Very happy with our stay here.Rooms: A little bit outdated and a bit run down but we were totally happy with our rooms considering price and location.Noteworthy details: A very dog friendly place to stay!
Incredibly friendly manager, a lovely pub atmosphere, nice draft ale, huge breakfast, good coffee, great meals, warm room, very dog friendly ❤️

We booked a meal with family whilst visiting the area to celebrate my husbands birthday. There were 8 of us and the meal was okay. The room we were sat in was cold, there was a fire but we couldn't feel the heat from it. Four of us ordered Steak, 3 were Well Done and all of them were more like Medium, I sent mine back and it came back and was still Medium, looked like all they had done was sear the ends!! We went for a meal as was staying nearby and was dog friendly. Not sure if I would go back again?
